Fortnite Leak Teases Godzilla Collab

A recent Fortnite leak suggests that fans could soon see Godzilla stomping across the island. Coming hot off the heels of the battle royale’s Marvel-themed season, Fortnite appears to be leaning into collaborations more and more. A number of Disney villains were recently added to the game’s shop, as well as characters from Pixar’s The Incredibles.

Fortnite is currently in the middle of its short Chapter 2 Remix season. Once the season comes to a close, the game will introduce players to a whole new island in Chapter 6. Epic Games is also taking this moment to introduce changes to its Fortnite Crew subscription benefits and the price of the battle pass. The changes seek to add benefits to players who engage with more than just the battle royale side of the game. All of this has been done in an effort to expand Fortnite‘s presence with modes like LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and the upcoming Fortnite OG.

Rumor: Fortnite Save the World Could Be Getting New Heroes

A rumor suggests that Fortnite Save the World could be getting new heroes for the first time in a while, with two familiar faces teased for that role.

Prominent leaker Samleakss, who recently teased an upcoming crossover with Cyberpunk 2077, stated on Twitter that fans could soon see Godzilla appear in both Fortnite and Rocket League. In addition to hearing about the potential for a Monsterverse crossover, Samleakss spotted the Monarch logo on an arcade machine in the teaser for season 17 of Rocket League. Monarch is a scientific organization within the Monsterverse, leading many fans to believe the symbol confirms the collaboration could be coming very soon.

Fortnite Could Include More Monsters Than Just Godzilla

It’s important to note that, while the Monarch symbol could indicate a crossover with the Monsterverse, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee the presence of Godzilla. Fans could see any number of monsters make their debut in Fortnite or Rocket League. This latest leak seems to be in line with theories that the battle royale’s newest chapter will include traditional Japanese themes. It was recently leaked that Demon/Oni masks could appear on the island soon.

While many fans are excited by the prospect of seeing Godzilla, it’s unclear how the collaboration might manifest. Epic Games has a fondness for bringing a wide variety of skins to the battle royale, but the design of the monster itself may not translate into an outfit easily. However, Godzilla and other monsters could appear on the island as part of an event. Seeing the colossal titan wreak havoc around the map would make for quite a spectacle.

Fortnite has been on quite a roll with collaborations lately. Its Chapter 2 Remix has been full of crossovers with famous rappers, including the late artist Juice WRLD. It would seem that Epic Games has no plans of slowing down, which is good news for fans who enjoy these partnerships.
