After the events of Weisshaupt during Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the Hossberg Wetlands become a major outpost of the Grey Wardens. Among other implications, this means that there are plenty of new side quests you can complete in the region.
One such side quest begins before you even visit the Wetlands. After Weisshaupt, you’ll find a note on a table in the central chamber of the Lighthouse. Reading it will start this quest, and it’s present regardless of which decision you make about the First Warden during your Dragon Age: The Veilguard playthrough.

How To Enter The Blighted Cabin In Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Your first stop in the Wetlands is Flynn, a physician’s apprentice who’s near the central fountain in Lavendel. Flynn needs more medical supplies, and is hoping their mentor, Oskar, has some to spare.
The quest markers should lead you down Swamp Road to Solitude’s Edge. The cabin is on the far side of the balance beam.
Sadly, the cabin is covered in too much blight to get inside. You’ll need to destroy two blight boils to clear the way:
- One is on the cliff wall to the left of the cabin door.
- One is tucked away behind the cabin.
Once inside, you can pick up a Memento on the table to the right. There are a few investigation spots in the cabin, and each one reveals a little information about Oskar and his wife. However, the note you need to read is on the bedroom desk.
Where To Find Brona’s Bloom In Dragon Age: The Veilguard
There are several locations you’ll need to visit to find Brona’s Bloom. Oskar is at one of them, and it’s the same location every time.
- One is at the top of the nearby tower in the swamp.
- One is at the base of the Gaspin Manor balcony.
- One is by a griffon shrine in the Swamp Road area, northwest of the cabin. The game’s quest markers will point you to the stairs down to the swamp, but the fastest way there is to use the zipline on the far side of the balance beam. Oskar is at this location.
Once you find Oskar, you need to investigate his bag. You can then head back to Lavendel and tell Flynn what you found. Flynn will talk a bit about themselves and about Oskar, and the quest ends when the conversation finishes. Your rewards include 1,750 XP.
