In less than two weeks (13 days to be exact), Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will receive its first Zombies DLC map. The map, which will be named Citadel Des Morts or Citadel Of The Dead, is scheduled to be released on December 5.

Ahead of the map’s launch, Treyarch revealed a first-look at its logo, as well as some added details that should excite long-time Zombies fans.

Per Treyarch, when Citadel Des Morts launches on Dec. 5, the main quest will also be simultaneously made available. In other words, fans can jump right in to figure things out in the same way they did when the game’s first two maps, Terminus and Liberty Falls, launched in late October.

Everything We Know About Citadel Des Morts

Beyond its launch date and logo, we do have some story details to glean about the map from a previous COD info dump. The synopsis for Citadel Des Morts is as follows:

After the shocking revelations at the culmination of the Terminus Main Quest, Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey follow the clues to Europe and discover an abandoned castle – a “citadel of the dead,” if you will.

Per that same info dump, an additional Perk-A-Cola, 18 new Augments and three new GobbleGums will also be deployed into Zombies. New enemy types and Wonder Weapons have also been teased.

Finally, an interesting info nugget from COD fans on Reddit suggests that the map is situated in Avalon. The fictional locale is home to several multiplayer maps, including Skyline. That opens the door to some interesting crossover potential, though we’ll have to wait and see how it all shakes out.
