Initially offered as an early Black Friday deal a couple weeks ago, Best Buy’s stock vanished pretty fast (unsurprisingly). If you’re interested in picking up an entry-level gaming laptop as a gift this holiday, it’ll be challenging to find one for this low of a price. The HP Victus is one of several enticing Doorbuster deals at Best Buy. We’ve included a list of others at the end of this article.
This specific model runs on an AMD Ryzen 5-7535HS processor, AMD Radeon RX 6550M graphics card, and 8GB of DDR5 memory, plus a 512GB SSD for installing games and storing your files.
This HP Victus is a solid budget choice for casual gaming or as a gift for younger PC gamers who are getting started with the hobby, especially while it’s only $430. The Ryzen 5 CPU is a mid-range processor, whereas the GPU and RAM are entry-level components best suited for less graphically intensive games. Many indie games and older AAA titles should work just fine, but don’t expect great performance with newer AAA hits like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
