Best PVP Builds In Throne And Liberty

Throne And Liberty is an MMORPG that is heavily focused on PvP. You’ve got large-scale PvP, like the Castle Siege event or open world dungeon combat at nighttime, and smaller-scale engagements, like Riftstones and Boonstones scheduled throughout the week. Most weapon combinations and builds are viable in PvP, although there are some clear winners when it comes to the current meta of the game.

Throne And Liberty: Best Ways To Get Sollant and Lucent

Sollant and Lucent are the two primary currencies in Throne And Liberty. You’ll need Sollant for gear upgrades and Lucent to use the Auction House.

In its current state, Sword And Shield/Greatsword is probably the most impactful of builds in large-scale PvP as you’re immensely tanky, provide plenty of CC, and can act as a focus point for your guild and allies. There are a few other meta classes, too, though.

S-Tier

Bow/Wand, Bow/Staff, SNS/Greatsword

A-Tier

Bow/Dagger, Dagger/Wand, SNS/Wand

Situational

Crossbow/Dagger, Staff/Dagger, Greatsword/Dagger

Sword And Shield/Greatsword

A character using a Wand and Tome with a Sword and Shield on their back in Throne And Liberty.

We’ve seen a Sword And Shield/Greatsword user hold a bridge almost entirely by themselves at a Boonstone fight. Combine them with a pocket healer, and you’ve got a brick-wall of a class to deal with.

The biggest advantage that Sword/Greatsword players have is the fact they’re tanky, but can also deal a lot of damage. A combination of Counter Barrier to reflect damage and CC abilities like Chain Hook and Stunning Blow turn this class into a utility nightmare for the enemy team. Blood Devotion is also one of the best abilities in the game for mitigating damage for nearby players.

Vital Force, the Greatsword passive skill, is considered one of the best passives in the game. This allows you to stack Max Health on your gear to provide a boost to Hit Chance, Skill Damage Boost, and Stun Chance. Even if you build for pure health, you’re still getting boosts to your other stats.

If you want to build a full tank, you can go
Sword And Shield/Wand.
These players are
extremely
hard to take down – we’ve watched 10+ players take a couple of minutes to defeat a well-geared SnS/Wand player.

Greatsword is also one of the best small-scale PvP weapons in the game regardless of weapon combination. You get plenty of survivability, high damage, and lots of CC. Excellent in Arena.

Bow/Staff

Throne And Liberty Character With A Bow.

The Longbow and Staff combination is one of the hardest-hitting ranged combinations in the game. In the current meta, the Flash Wave rules. This large AoE ability deals an enormous amount of damage – pushing 5,000 if your build is reaching capped gear score – and it can be instantly re-set with Blitz. Top guilds in guild-v-guild content will coordinate Flash Waves to wipe out players in a lump. The more Flash Waves you have, the more fights you win – it’s that simple.

One of the best things about the Bow/Staff build is that it’s also extremely flexible. With the bow, you get some support abilities like Healing Touch, some great CC with the Tornado ability, and decent ranged damage with Decisive Sniping. Combine this with the high damage abilities of the Staff like Judgment Lightning and Chain Lightning, and you’ve got the kind of build that can quickly secure kills on targets, especially those who are trying to run away.

Bow/Wand

A character using a Longbow with a Greatsword on their back in Throne And Liberty.

In the current meta, the Bow and Wand is the dedicated healer class. All guilds in Throne And Liberty need a few healers, at least one per party of six, but more can never go amiss.

Healing is also quite flexible in this game, and depending on your gear choice, you can either go for a tanky healer that sustains themselves through huge amounts of damage while keeping nearby players healthy with AoE heals, or a healer that specializes in healing power, max range, and cooldown reduction.

The Wand has some of the best support abilities in the game, including Invincible Wall, Swift Healing, and Fountain of Life. You also get some great potential CC with the Cursed Nightmare/Karmic Haze AoE sleep, but you might find yourself caught between building Sleep Chance into your gear and specializing more into healing.

Dagger/Greatsword

A character using a Greatsword with a Sword and Shield on their back in Throne And Liberty.

Dagger/Greatsword is an interesting place right now – the build has brilliant single-target damage and CC built into it, but it can also feel annoying to play in large-scale guild-v-guild content because of the lack of range. In small scale PvP, like Arenas, the Dagger/Greatsword is unstoppable.

In large scale PvP, you have to pick your fights very carefully. You might use Precision Dash to close the distance, take down a high-value target – like a healer, or a Bow/Staff user – then inevitably die because you’re in the middle of the enemy team with no support.

Crossbow/Dagger

A character using a Crossbow with a Longbow on their back in Throne And Liberty.

Ah, the classic spin-to-win. The Crossbow is the closest we’ve got to a rogue class in Throne And Liberty, with stealth from Camouflage Cloak allowing you to head into the backline of an enemy guild and wreak damage with the AoE abilities Annihilation Barrage Shot and Thunderclouds Bombing.

While these abilities definitely deal less damage the higher gear score your opponents get, if you can coordinate two or three bombers at the same time in a tight, confined space, you can entirely wipe out the backline of healers, Bow/Staff users, and other ranged classes.

Bow/Dagger

A character using a Wand and Tome with a Longbow on their back in Throne And Liberty

The Bow/Dagger build is another stealthy class that can excel if played correctly. During a large scale fight, you can use Camouflage Cloak to get behind a large group of enemies and use Flash Wave into their backline squishy targets. Combine this with the coordination of some Crossbow/Dagger players, and you get total devastation.

Wand/Dagger

A man stands with a Wand and Tome in the Amitoi House in Throne and Liberty.

The Wand/Dagger build again uses Camouflage Cloak to sneak into large groups, then use the Cursed Nightmare/Karmic Haze ability combo to perform mass sleeps in enemy groups. This class should specialize into Sleep Chance as their only real purpose is to sleep people.
