Salt is one of the main ingredients used in many cooking recipes in Dreamlit’s Towers of Aghasba. While rebuilding the Shimu civilization on the island, players will need to cook meals to restore health, making Salt an important resource to gather.
However, finding Salt can be tough, as Aghasba is a massive island spread across three biomes. How to Find Salt in Towers of Aghasba
Salt can be found by harvesting Salt Deposits formed in Coastal and Underwater regions in Towers of Aghasba. If you’ve just started playing the game, you’ll find Salt Deposits on the east coast of Amani Island. Begin by heading to the eastern side of the mini-map (check the bottom right of the screen and run in that direction). As you move forward, you’ll notice white, salty mountains—this is a sign you’re going the right way. Simply get past these mountains to reach the shoreline and take a turn on the right side.
Remember to bring your Wooden Bow with you, as you’ll likely encounter spiders along the way and near the shore. The Wooden Bow is given to you by Hoa during the
‘Unleash the Hunter Within’ quest
, so it should already be in your inventory.
Once you’re at the salt beach, look along the coastline for Salt Deposits. These are salty, crystal-like structures that form near the water. When you find one, use your Stone Pickaxe to break it by pressing the ‘E’ button. If you don’t have a Stone Pickaxe yet, you can craft one using Stone, Sticks, and Fiber in the Craft section of your inventory.
After hitting a Salt Deposit, you’ll receive two bowls of salt and sometimes a few Strange Seeds. However, you may only find three Salt Deposits in the area. Also, in the early-access version, Salt Deposits take a long time to respawn, so it’s wise to harvest them whenever you come across one during your journey in Aghasba.
How To Use Salt In Towers Of Aghasba
As mentioned above, Salt can be used to make tasty meals in Towers of Aghasba, such as Sausage and Ham. As a young builder, you can consume these meals to increase your health. To make Sausage, you’ll need the following ingredients along with Salt:
Raw Meat can be found by hunting almost all wild creatures on the land, including Skirtau, Plumpet, Beetleloupe, and Fuzzyfin. Here’s the recipe for Ham:
Tender Fillet can be obtained by hunting ground creatures. That said, in order to use Salt, you’ll first need to unlock cooking during the Food for the Soul quest.
