Key Takeaways
- PlayStation has confirmed it will be restocking three items in its 30th anniversary collection today.
- The PS5, DualSense, and DualSense Edge will all be back in stock at PlayStation Direct from midday EST.
- The anniversary Pro bundle and PlayStation Portal will not be restocked.
Items in PlayStation’s 30th anniversary collection have been popping up here and there on Amazon and other third-party retail sites throughout the week, but we now have official confirmation of the big one. PlayStation has additional stock of the PS5, DualSense, and DualSense Edge from its collection and all of it will be available to buy in the US from midday EST today.
If you missed the confirmation from PlayStation that it will be restocking select items in its anniversary collection until reading it here, you’re almost certainly not the only one. It’s not like it has been shouting it from the rooftops. It hasn’t even shared the good news on social media. It has simply added a small update to the store pages in the hope that we’d notice the incoming restock and well, a lot of us did.

PlayStation’s Black Friday sale begins on November 22 and will run through until December 2.
The store pages for the 30th anniversary slim PS5, DualSense, and DualSense Edge all have a note telling potential customers hoping to catch a surprise restock that even though the products are out of stock, they should check back in at 9 am PST (midday EST) on Thursday, November 21, 2024. That’s today provided you’re reading this on the day it was published. If you’re not, check the links in the boxes below by all means, but I get the feeling everything will have sold out again within a few minutes of being restocked.
PlayStation Is Restocking Some Of Its 30th Anniversary Collection Today
Another Chance To Buy The PS5, DualSense, And DualSense Edge
The console and the regular DualSense have been restocked at PlayStation and other places fairly regularly. However, I believe this is the first time the DualSense Edge has been restocked since the pre-orders initially went live. A testament to just how much people want something from this limited edition range as not only is the Edge an expensive accessory at $220, but that’s $20 more than the regular Edge.

PS5 Digital 30th Anniversary Bundle
Part of the PlayStation 30th anniversary collection, the digital edition of the PS5 has been given a grey makeover to make it look more like PlayStation’s original console. The bundle includes the console, a matching DualSense controller, and a grey disc drive cover should you need it.
-
PlayStation 30th Anniversary DualSense Edge
The DualSense Edge is the high-end version of the PS5’s regular controller, and like the console itself and various other accessories, it has been given a PS1-style makeover to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.

PlayStation 30th Anniversary DualSense
The DualSense comes in a variety of colors, but the PS1 makeover it got for PlayStation’s 30th anniversary might be the most popular to date. As well as the grey shell, the face buttons are the OG colors and the home button is PlayStation’s original logo.
The two items in the anniversary collection that don’t have the November 21 restock tag are the PS5 Pro bundle and the PlayStation Portal. The bundle was limited to 12,300 units and will almost certainly never be restocked. It’s a shame that the Portal appears to be gone for good too though, especially after the update this week that allows you to play select games on the accessory without being tethered to a PS5.
The restock is happening in other countries too, but at different times. In the UK, for example, the items were restocked at 9 am GMT.
I say this every time, because there’s always a very real chance it’s true, but this restock, more than any to have come before it, could be the last. Today is release day for the 30th anniversary collection which means those who snagged pre-orders will finally be getting their hands on the PS1-style stuff they bought. PlayStation tends to restock in-demand pre-order products on release day, hence the console and the controllers returning to PlayStation Direct later today.
