How To Keep Tutorial Items

In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl players will lose everything once the introductory missions end, and that can be frustrating for those who enjoyed collecting loot from minute 0. With all the effort it took to carry those weapons, bullets, Medkits, and Anti-Radiation Meds and Bandages, it makes sense that players want to keep at least part of that loot safe.

Here’s a refresher on how to equip and remove weapon attachments for Stalker 2 for Zone newbies and veterans alike.

We have a solution for this problem – a method to keep most of the loot intact, even after Skiff gets jumped and left for dead in the Lesser Zone.

How To Keep Tutorial Items In Stalker 2

To keep all the loot from the Tutorial in Stalker 2, players need to find the Safe next to the third waypoint for the Scanner. Right before starting the process, which will make players lose control of their characters and trigger a cutscene (which can be skipped/fast-forwarded), they should look around the building for a Blue Safe.

Players can access the safe room by going around the building and jumping over a few boxes. Ideally, they should drop any items they want to preserve here. Sadly, only weapons that have the “broken” status or are about to break can be kept, the rest will disappear and cannot be kept.

Once players talk to Richter and go over the Anomaly disruption tutorial, they can get back to the building, and return to the Safe to collect all the items they deposited. Players will notice that Medkits, Food, Water, Vodka, Ammunition, and other similar items are considered part of the Container’s loot, and didn’t disappear.

Relics and Weapons without the Broken or Worn-out condition will disappear automatically (allegedly, taken by the people who ambushed Skiff) and cannot be recovered. But since the game requires a lot of consumables to be used all the time, it makes sense that players should be able to keep some of them using this method. At least, this will help them get back on their feet after getting robbed dry by the bandits.

This trick also works in other containers of the nearby zone, but since this one is the nearest to the
Save Point
, it is preferable to do it here. Also, keep in mind that this might be a bug (though since the weapons disappear, it does seem like the devs are aware of this method and do not intend to fix it).
