I just don’t understand Sony at the moment

They release their games on PC and some don’t do all that great, they sell but probably not the way Sony would like to see.

They release a game like this thinking “Hey it’s Lego and we have the Nintendo Switch, it’s a perfect match” and it just hasn’t really set the world on fire

They also release remasters / remakes of games that still hold up today like Horizon Zero Dawn and yet will leave the more interesting remasters they could have done on the back burner. Hell even a game like Days Gone I’d have taken because at least that’s a game they could have heavily refined and added onto to give it a second shot.

They try to do live service and just end up wasting money. For everything Helldivers 2 most likely achieved was flushed away with Concord, anything they probably made profit wise from that was most likely used to patch that burning hole in their pockets Concord had burnt through.

They don’t need any of this, they are currently on top out of the big 3 and yet they act like they still need to do things to stay on top when they would have most likely been fine either way. They could have just kept everything to PS5 while making remakes of their lesser known IPs and made something online but in the more “Classic Multiplayer” way with no GaaS crap thrown in which may have all been riskier but currently being on top it wouldn’t have made a dent if they did fail.
