Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is headed to a very exciting phase where fans will see a massive battle play out. Although this manga has already given fans a bunch of exciting fights, none of them have been major. Of course, these fights still had a profound effect on the story, and in many ways, fans were utterly stunned by what they got to witness. But, at the same time, it can also be said that these were not life-and-death battles and were only treated as set up for major events to come.

Now, for the very first time in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans are getting a massive fight between the Shinju and the Shinobi, and it is safe to say that the expectation for this battle is incredibly high.

As fans know, the Shinju are making ground slowly across the five nations in the Boruto series. It is no surprise to know that they, after gaining sentience and their own free will, are now following the true desire of their hearts. As such, different Shinju set out on different goals, which is why Hidari and Jura came to Konoha earlier. Now, Ryu and Matsuri are setting out to the Hidden Sand Village, for various reasons. As seen in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16, both of them were present in Sunagakure, just around the village. Their current mission is most likely to get their hands on the Kazekage and potentially consume him. Previously, Matsuri set out to the village by herself, and her goal was to get her hands on none other than a worthy shinju. Of course, Shinki being captured led to the creation of a new Shinju, and this person turned out to be none other than Ryu. Ryu’s current goal is to consume Gaara. Naturally, upon seeing these events play out, Kankuro contacted Konoha, and requested help.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16, Shikamaru was asked by Kashin Koji to send a bunch of powerful ninjas to Sunagakure. Koji specifically mentioned that Shikamaru should send Konohamaru, Sarada, and Mitsuki to the village. He further requested that Himawari not be allowed out of the village, because if she was to step out, she would most definitely run into Jura and die. At the same time, he also asked him that if Jura does come to Konoha, he will most likely not destroy the village, and he should simply be treated as a guest, and in case he is sighted by shinobi, they should simply flee.

At the same time, the team from Konoha was already prepared to intercept the team of the powerful Shinju, and, clearly, towards the end of the chapter, they managed to spot them. Now, it’s time for a very exciting battle in Boruto, which, according to the editor’s text at the end of the chapter, is now underway. Ryu and Matsuri form a very powerful duo and they cannot be taken out easily. Meanwhile, a Konoha team, which includes Konohamaru, Mitsuki, and Sarada, is also joined by two ninjas from the Hidden Sand Village. These are Yodo and Araya.

Both of these ninjas are pretty powerful, with Yodo being the stronger of the two. However, fans have not seen their true capabilities as they were only briefly focused on during the Chunin Exams. Furthermore, back then, they were far weaker than whatever strengths they possess right now, and it will be interesting to see what they deliver in this fight. Essentially, this is a battle of five shinobi versus two Shinju, which makes for a very exciting duel. Most likely, fans will see ninjas from Konoha deal with Matsuri, while the ninjas from Sand, likely joined by Mitsuki, will team up in the battle against Ryu. This would mean that Sarada and Konohamaru will fight in a joint battle against Matsuri, and that will certainly be very exciting.

It is also possible that Konohamaru decides to take on Matsuri by himself. This is because he shares a connection with her, and he would want to take the biggest of burdens by himself. If this goes down, then fans will most likely see Ryu taken on by four young ninjas, which would make the balance of power more fair. But, whether Konohamaru has the tools to take out Matsuri on her own remains to be seen.

Of course, as the Shinobi are, fans know that they do not stand a chance against the Shinju. But, given that 3 years have passed since they were last seen in battle, they will likely have grown much stronger. Naturally, the sand ninjas will also show off unpredictable abilities. Fans don’t know enough about them to predict what powers they hold up their sleeve. But, the same cannot be said for the ninjas from Konoha. Fans know what abilities they hold. In the case of Mitsuki, fans will likely see the full power of the Sage Mode that he possesses. Similarly, Sarada will likely tap into the power of her Mangekyo Sharingan. This means her eye will finally shine here and she might even go ahead and reveal the individual abilities of her eyes, along with a mighty Susanoo.

He has been largely disappointing in the first part of the Boruto series, which means this battle could be his time to redeem himself. Konohamaru is weak at this point but if he comes out with an ability as strong as the Sage Mode, then he certainly has the chance to redeem himself. Fans are expecting big things from all the ninjas involved in this fight, and undoubtedly, they will triumph over the Shinju, as was predicted by Kashin Koji.

This battle will surely not be easy, but it will certainly be one of the most exciting ones that fans will see in the entire series. Hopefully, it lives up to all expectations. In the next issue of the Boruto manga, which is slated for December 2024, fans will finally get to see this exciting battle begin, and it is predicted to last for a few months, at the very least. With the conclusion of this battle, the end of the Shinju will begin to creep in, because after this, only two more will be left, in the form of Jura and Hidari.
