Zenless Zone Zero 1.4’s Leaked Miyabi Change Would Up One Agent’s Stock

Zenless Zone Zero 1.4’s Leaked Miyabi Change Would Up One Agent’s Stock

Zenless Zone Zero‘s 1.4 update is set to see the release of one of the game’s most anticipated playable agents: Section 6’s Hoshimi Miyabi. Known as one of the few to claim the title of Void Hunter, Miyabi’s addition could rock the foundation of Zenless Zone Zero with her unique abilities that seem to defy the game’s current elemental breakdown. However, newly leaked information about Miyabi’s kit could mean that one agent is in a great position to be her ideal teammate.

While Miyabi is confirmed to be an Anomaly Specialty character, her elemental typing remains shrouded in mystery. From what has been shown in her promotional images, it appears Miyabi will have a new elemental type—what some fans theorize to be a combination of both the Ice and Electric elements. This potential type combination would give Miyabi great synergy with her fellow Section 6 members, but one, in particular, could stand out as the perfect compliment to her Additional Ability.

This information is based on an in-development build of
Zenless Zone Zero
1.4 and could change before the version launches on December 18.

Soukaku and Miyabi Could Be an Unstoppable Duo in Zenless Zone Zero 1.4

Miyabi’s Leaked Ability Requirements Would Make Soukaku a Must-Use Agent

If Miyabi’s strange elemental typing isn’t enough to intrigue Zenless Zone Zero players, a new leak revealed that Miyabi’s Additional Ability has changed to require either a Support agent or one of the same faction to be present on the team in order to activate it. This was changed from the previous requirement of needing another Anomaly agent on the team to activate this Additional Ability, meaning characters like Burnice or Grace would no longer meet the requirements. However, this change makes Soukaku a great candidate for Miyabi’s teammate due to her being both a Support agent and a member of Section 6.

Miyabi’s Additional Ability

When a character in your squad is a Support character or shares the same Zenless Zone Zero Faction:

  • Damage dealt by the Basic Attack: Frost Moon increases by 50%.
  • When any character in the party triggers the Disorder effect, Miyabi gains 3 stacks of Frostfall, and during the next Frost Moon Stance, Basic Attack: Frost Moon ignores 25% Ice resistance.

Soukaku Has Been Inconsistent in the Zenless Zone Zero Meta

Although Section 6 has been the main focus of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.3 and the upcoming Version 1.4, Soukaku was the first member of the faction to debut in the game all the way back at Version 1.0’s launch. However, she has seen a good degree of fluctuation within Zenless Zone Zero‘s meta since her release placed her high in the meta, before dropping to middle-to-low tiers. However, Soukaku seems to be on the upswing in the meta and could become a top-tier agent when Miyabi releases in Version 1.4 due to her fulfilling the requirements to activate Miyabi’s Additional Ability while potentially buffing her and the rest of the team further.

Not only would Soukaku trigger Miyabi’s Additional Ability, but players with at least four of her Mindscape abilities unlocked could make Miyabi even more powerful. Soukaku’s M4 ability reduces the Ice resistance of an enemy hit by her Fly the Flag skill by 10 for 8 seconds, allowing Miyabi’s Frost Moon basic attack to deal even more damage when her Additional Ability is active. Furthermore, Soukaku’s own Additional Ability can be activated by Miyabi in turn and give both agents 20% increased Ice damage for 22 seconds after Fly the Flag is used, meaning Soukaku and Miyabi will have excellent synergy together—potentially better than any other two agents in the game.
