PUBG Mobile Icemire Frontier mode: Overview
The Icemire Frontier theme mode is one of the most exciting additions to Version 3.5. This mode is based on all the frosty, icy experiences to embrace the winter season. The main attraction of this mode is the Christmas-themed items and the legendary Frostborne Dragon. This new version 3.5 update brings us into a wintry land where dangers abound. Prepare yourself to face a village sealed in ice, giant prehistoric beasts, and a giant dragon’s hoard.
This is a tundra filled with both danger and treasure. This place has a special Nordic look with lots of ice-themed items. You will see many Viking relics, dwellings, and mines. After completing certain tasks, we will be able to fight the legendary ice dragon in its lair.
Beware as it becomes stronger as soon as he gets the sense of danger. There will be other players too. Upon first entering the themed location, you will receive a respawn card automatically. Unlike previous themed modes, you will not get an extra recall card after clearing the entire Frostheim village.
The main building is the Chieftain’s building, situated at the center of the village. Another building is the beast warden’s keep, which lies at the center of the beast-taming grounds. Beneath the Chieftain’s building lies a ritual hall where there are plenty of supplies to battle over. You can break certain ice-made walls with your weapons. You can also become a snowball to traverse in the village.

Icemire Frontier’s many cool and interesting features can give the players an upper hand in the battleground. In this section, we will discuss the new features and additions of the Icemire Frontier theme mode.
1. Frostborne Dragon Statue
At Frostheim village’s center, you will find ice crystals sealing rich treasures along with the Frostborne Dragon. Sometime in a match, the Dragon’s seal will break, revealing a sanctuary where you can great amount of loot.
2. Magic Crystal Mine
These are the secondary event locations that sit at the surface, surrounded by loot and utilities. Beneath this location, is an underground mine filled with treasure hidden within a cave. We can destroy the ice walls blocking the cave’s entrance to access it. You can find Magic Crystal Crates in these mines, where you can get good loot.
3. Frostfire Altar
Frostfire Altar is a special location where we can get event-exclusive weapons. Here you can get two special weapons:
- Frostsoul Spear: You can use it to move quickly. You can also create a slowing field at the landing point.
- Frostsoul Warhammer: It is a legendary weapon used by the Vikings. It can create ice walls of different sizes depending on how you use it. The size depends on the power charge of the hammer. The longer you charge it, the bigger the size of the wall gets.
4. New live Vehicles
Now it’s time for the introduction of the two new vehicles of this version.
- Mammoth: It can accommodate 4 players and has weak points in its legs, so do not let your guard down around enemies. Because it takes 5 seconds to get up again.
- Sabertooth Tiger: The Sabertooth Tiger can accommodate 2 players, and you can fire from it while mounted, just like the horse in the previous themed mode. It has a powerful jumping ability that is great for getting around quickly.
5. Dragon Horn
In the Icemire Frontier mode, you might chance upon a Dragon Horn. You can use it to summon an ice portal which can take you directly to the Frostborne Dragon’s lair. These portals will also randomly appear around the map. This lair is filled with supplies and hidden crates.
6. Dragon’s Lair
It is the home of the Icemire Frontier’s most formidable opponent: the Frostborne Dragon. Frostborne Dragon is an extremely powerful, dangerous foe. It can attack both in the air and on the ground, which makes it very much unpredictable.
By defeating it, you will obtain a special crate with lots of loot. You will also get a special consumable item called the Dragon Blood. You can drink it to totally fill your energy and health bar. One thing should be noted only 3 squads or 12 players can enter the Dragon’s Lair at the same time.
7. PMGC Stage
Erangel’s Spawn Island now has a dance stage to celebrate the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024. New PMGC-themed items have also been added to the game.
8. Updated Gas Stations
In this new update, gas stations will become vehicle repair stations during the event. There, you can replenish your vehicle’s health and fuel, and repair any damaged tires. This will surely change the overall game dynamics.
9. New weapon: Smoke grenade launcher
PUBG Mobile’s battlefield is the only place where smoking can save your life. You can use this new weapon to quickly pop up the smoke screen to save yourself and your team from the enemies.
Old features like the AED Self revive kit are also available. We also have several updates regarding the Metro Royal mode, which features the Icemire Frontier mode items. World of Wonder mode also got new features where you can add breakable objects like walls, roof, etc. in the maps.
