Even in the derelict, unpredictable world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, few things are as helpful to you as money. You need it to repair your gear, upgrade your guns, and buy things like ammo or healing supplies. How are you supposed to afford all of that?

Fortunately, there’s value to be found in every corner of the Zone. You just need to know how to look for it. Whether you want a passive way to boost your coupon count or are actively farming for cash, here’s the best advice for making a pretty penny, even in a peculiar place like this.
General Tips
A bit of mindfulness can help ensure you get the most coupons from your time, whether you’re completely new to the game or an experienced stalker with money troubles. We’ve put this general advice together with that in mind.

Be Selective About Your Gunplay |
One of the most common resources in the Zone is ammo. There are several types of ammo, and every hostile human will have some, so it can really build up in your inventory and sell for a nice profit. Instead of spraying a fully automatic into someone’s chest, set your guns to single-shot and make an active point to aim for their heads. This minimizes ammo lost, which is ammo that can be sold later. |

Wear Weight Reducing Artifacts |
The more you can carry, the more you can sell. So wearing any artifacts that reduce weight means more loot to bring back. |

Always Keep Armor And Masks To Sell |
new armors or masks are rare and not something you can reliably farm for. But that rarity comes with value. As mentioned above, armor is extremely expensive, with some mid-game sets selling for as much as 50,000 coupons. Don’t let the weight deter you; keep armor and sell it as soon as you can. |

I know, it’s convenient. But it’s also expensive, costing thousands of coupons for a one-way trip. If you foot it yourself between settlements, you can pick up some loot along the way. |

Fight Humans, Loot Everything Except Guns
While everywhere you go will have its own selection of salvage to be found, few things are more profitable than a large gang of humans that want you dead.
Each person you fight will have a gun, ammo, and usually something a bit more, like bandages, drinks, or even PDAs and grenades. With encounters ranging anywhere between three and 20 enemies, that’s a lot of supplies to collect and sell, plus plenty of ammo for future encounters.
Grenades are particularly valuable for their size and rarity; avoid using them in combat and sell them instead.
Even if you don’t get to fight people and have to deal with lootless mutants, each point of interest will have things you can loot, like ammo boxes, medical crates, food, and alcohol. While it’s easy to dismiss them, all those vodka bottles add up and can help maximize your overall profit. Don’t leave a location until you’ve given it a good look through and taken everything not nailed down.
DO NOT keep any nearly broken guns you find, though. Traders won’t buy them unless they’re repaired first, and the repairs will cost more than the value of the gun after you sell it. The only exception here is if you find a gun that ISN’T broken.
Go Stash Hunting
This works perfectly in parallel with Stash hunting. A marked stash on your map provides you with a heading, a location with more loot, and possibly more people. This doesn’t even mention the stash itself and whatever it contains.
If you’re looking to minimize time spent wandering aimlessly for loot, head to a stash instead.
Best of all, dead NPCs will occasionally have PDAs on them. When picked up, they often add a new stash icon to your map.
Don’t forget to unload the guns you do find; those extra bullets add up.
Hunt For Artifacts
Artifacts are the treasures of the Zone. These super-powered items grant you buffs in exchange for some radiation. And while they can come in handy, you won’t need every Artifact you find. Many of them have the same effect as ones you might already own anyway.
Selling duplicates, or even just ones with effects that don’t interest you, is an easy, combat-free way to find lightweight and valuable loot.
The process is (generally) simple: find an area with many of the same anomaly type, carefully navigate inside that area with your scanner out, pick up the Artifact once discovered, and leave. Some unfortunate footing might result in some damage and needing to use a bandage or two, but that still saves you from having to expend precious ammo fighting people.
Get in the habit of flipping your scanner out whenever you see more than five or six anomalies in the same place. You never know when they might contain something.
Complete Quests
Playing the game as intended? Egh. Jokes aside, this is one of the more reliable ways to get a surprisingly large quantity of coupons.
Side quests as early as the Lesser Zone can be completed quickly, granting over 1,000 coupons. Later quests, especially those in the main story, will grant even more, with rewards in the 10,000+ range.
Not to mention that these quests send you to points of interest, where you can still apply all the wisdom provided above.
