Submachine guns are incredibly powerful within their optimal range in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and the KSV has the fortune of being a four-shot kill to any part of the body, putting it squarely in the upper-mid tier of SMGs in the game. That power only grows when you give it the best attachments and loadout possible, making it capable of some absurd damage.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – Best Tanto .22 Loadouts
Make the Tanto the ultimate SMG with these Gunsmith builds.
The best KSV loadout has a few things going for it, regardless of whether you have five or eight attachments. The equipment and perks you use will vary somewhat based on your tastes, but the core will be the same.
Best Attachments
The right attachments can improve the performance of any weapon in Black Ops 6, and the KSV is no exception. It’s incredibly strong without them, but suffers from an SMG’s main weakness: range.
The build presented here aims to improve the KSV’s range and lethality up close without additional complications. As such, we’ll be using the Gunfighter Wildcard to get eight attachments in total.

Slot |
Description |
---|---|---|
Kepler Microflex |
Optic |
This optic gives one of the cleanest sight pictures available in Black Ops 6 without its edges occluding much into your vision. |
Muzzle Brake |
Muzzle |
The Muzzle Brake outshines its competition by improving the KSV’s ability to stick to a target at the beginning of a spray. It trades flat recoil reduction for first-shot controllability. |
Reinforced Barrel |
Barrel |
The KSV gets tons of value out of both increasing its range and bullet velocity, and the Reinforced Barrel provides a good dose of both. |
Precision Foregrip |
Underbarrel |
Accounting for vertical recoil is easy enough. Horizontal recoil can cause problems, and the Precision Foregrip improves both it and the KSV’s idle sway amount. |
Extended Mag 1 |
Magazine |
With a fire rate of 800 rpm, the KSV can put a lot of shots downrange quickly, and you’ll feel the effects of ten extra bullets with the Extended Mag 1. |
CQB Grip |
Rear Grip |
Sliding is a huge part of the Omnimovement system in Black Ops 6, and the CQB grip allows the KSV to ready faster from slides, dives, and sprinting, all in one. |
No Stock |
Stock |
If you ever wanted extra movement speed on your SMGs, the No Stock attachment provides it for standard movement, strafing, and shooting from the hip. |
Rapid Fire |
Fire Mods |
Rapid Fire on the KSV only adds 57 extra rounds per minute, but that increase can determine who wins a gunfight. |
If you want to use a different Wildcard than Gunfighter, feel free to remove the optic, underbarrel, and stock attachments.
Best Class Loadout
The KSV, like all SMGs, is about speed and efficiency, so our class loadout should be too.

Equipped Item |
Description |
---|---|---|
Primary |
KSV |
The KSV is our weapon of choice for this loadout. |
Secondary |
Pistol of choice |
Pistols are strong across the board in Black Ops 6, so use whichever one you like most. |
Melee |
Weapon of choice |
The Knife is functionally better than the baseball bat, but the bat’s more amusing, so which you use is up to you. |
Tactical |
Stim Shot |
Even when using the Enforcer Specialty, having a free full heal on hand between fights can be incredibly valuable. |
Lethal |
Semtex or Frag |
The Semtex and Frag grenades serve the same purpose in different ways. The Semtex gives you a consistent detonation time and location, but you can throw the frag further and cook it to explode exactly where you want. |
Field Upgrade |
Assault Pack |
Unlike in previous games, the Scavenger perk is not a must-equip perk, or nearly so. Instead, having an Assault Pack handy will let you quickly restock, and there are teammates nearby who can also benefit. |
Perk 1 |
Flak Jacket, Tac Mask, or Dexterity |
The first perk slot is chock-full of fantastic choices, but Flak Jacket and Tac Mask are so good they’re hard to give up. If you want an Enforcer loadout, it’s hard to beat Dexterity’s improved weapon performance while moving. |
Perk 2 |
Dispatcher or Assassin |
For Strategists, Dispatcher is a no-brainer pick for the second slot, as it reduces the cost of all non-lethal scorestreaks. Assassin is the better of the Enforcer options, as it pinpoints high-value targets on the minimap and rewards you for killing them. |
Perk 3 |
Quartermaster, Double Time, or Bankroll |
Quartermaster is fantastic as it reduces the Stim Shot’s cooldown by 50% and puts your lethal equipment on a cooldown of its own, ensuring you consistently have access to it. Double Time extends your Tac Sprint, and Bankroll gives you a free 150 score every life. |
Wildcare |
Gunfighter, Perk Greed, or Tactical Expert |
The fact Gunfighter enables eight weapon attachments is tough to give up, but with Perk Greed’s fourth perk option and Tactical Expert giving you three total Stim Shots, which one you choose is ultimately up to preference. |
Remember that the KSV loadout presented here is one of the best in the game, but far from the only one. If you have a setup that works for you, or you find that ours doesn’t quite gel with your playstyle, don’t hesitate to experiment. There aren’t all those attachment and equipment choices for nothing.
