Pokemon GO Debuting More Galarian Pokemon

Key Takeaways

  • Galarian Corsola and Cursola are going to debut in Pokemon GO as part of the newly announced Max Out Finale event.
  • Max Out Finale will run from November 27 to December 1.
  • Galarian Corsola will be hatchable from 7km Eggs for the duration of the event, which will also introduce a bunch of other limited-time content and bonuses.

Niantic announced a new Pokemon GO event that will see Galarian Corsola and Cursola make their debut in the hit mobile game. Aside from adding to Pokemon GO‘s roster of Galarian mons, the new event will also serve as a conclusion to the game’s 16th season.

Titled Max Out, the ongoing Pokemon GO season kicked off on September 3, introducing new spawns, Special Research tasks, and limited-time bonuses. As was the case with the previous 15 seasons, Max Out will run for three months, and is scheduled to conclude on December 3.

Niantic reveals all the Pokemon GO Community Day event dates for Season 17, which starts right after Season 16: Max Out concludes this December.

Niantic has now announced the final Pokemon GO Max Out event that’s meant to conclude the current season. Aptly called Max Out Finale, the promo will run from November 27 at 10am to December 1 at 8pm local time. The highlight of the event is the in-game debut of Galarian Corsola, meaning Pokemon GO is also adding the tiny mon’s evolution, Galarian Cursola. Evolving a Galarian Corsola to Cursola will require 50 Corsola Candy.

The coral-shaped pocket monster will be hatchable from 7km Eggs for the duration of Max Out Finale. Pokemon GO players will also be able to hatch a shiny Galarian Corsola, though the odds of doing so are currently unclear. Past events of this sort typically featured shiny rates of around 1 in 50, equating to a 2% chance. However, since not every 7km Egg will hatch a Galarian Corsola, the actual chances of getting one are ostensibly going to be lower.

Max Out Finale will also feature several event bonuses, including an extra 5,000 XP awarded for every successful raid and halved hatching distances for Eggs placed in Pokemon GO‘s incubators. As per usual, players will be able to use 10 Remote Raid Passes per day rather than the usual five for the duration of the event. Half a dozen mons will appear more frequently in the wild during Max Out Finale, including Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. Ditto for Skwovet, Wooloo, and Falinks, which will also have a chance of being shiny.

Apart from new Field Research tasks, Max Out Finale will also introduce another premium Timed Research. Priced at $5, this set of tasks will reward players with an event-themed avatar pose, and also serve as a guaranteed way to encounter many event-themed Pokemon. New Collection Challenges will also be part of the promotion, together with limited-time PokeStop Showcases and raids. Niantic is expected to share more details about the 17th season of Pokemon GO in the coming days, likely before Max Out concludes on December 3.
