Marvel Rivals Season 1 release date estimate and news

When is the Marvel Rivals Season 1 release date? We’re already thinking ahead to the 2025 roadmap for the multiplayer shooter, and if it’s anything like its competitors, Overwatch and Valorant, then we can surely expect plenty of additional content and seasonal updates to keep things fresh.

The Marvel Rivals release date is not far off, and the multiplayer game starts with Season 0 which will last one month, taking you through December and into the beginning of January. It features half the amount of content we can expect from full season launches and battle pass, but is priced to reflect this. Though details are pretty thin, we do have an idea on what’s coming to Season 0 and when to expect Marvel Rivals Season 1.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 release date

The Marvel Rivals Season 1 release date is January 2025, with each season lasting three months. Season 0 begins when the game releases, but has a much shorter length, and it has not yet been confirmed how much the battle pass will cost.

Season 0 is titled Doom’s Rise and kicks off the story of Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from 2099 joining forces to make universes collide in the Timestream Entanglement. This causes all sorts of chaos for our Marvel Rivals characters, but heroes and villains unite to save realities across the multiverse.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 content

The game releases with 33 playable heroes and eight maps, but it has been confirmed seasonal content includes a battle pass and features the following:

  • New heroes
  • New maps
  • A seasonal storyline
  • Team-Up abilities
  • New games modes

That’s all we have for what’s coming to Marvel Rivals Season 1, but we’ll be sure to add more when the game arrives in December. Also check out our Marvel Rivals twitch drops guide and how to claim, and our Marvel Rivals voice actors guide on the cast voicing your favorite heroes.
