Chasca is an upcoming 5-star Anemo Bow character in Genshin Impact, set to be released in Version 5.2, first phase banner. Chasca is an Anemo DPS where her kit focuses on aiming and firing bullets, having different type of Elemental party members in the team. In this guide, we will break down Chasca in detail, talk about her kit, find out her best artifacts and build, and more about Genshin Impact.
Let us dive into her character details, kits, best team, and weapons so we can understand how she works.
Genshin Impact Chasca Guide: Kit Explained
Chasca’s gameplay centers around her Elemental Skill, which features the Nightsoul mechanic, a signature trait shared by other characters from Natlan. This mechanic allows her to fly mid-air while also additional buffs to herself.
Normal Attack: Phantom Feather Flurry | Deals physical normal attack dmg and plunging attack dmg. Charged shots deal Anemo dmg. |
Elemental Skill: Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt | Chasca uses a special skill that gives her a powerful weapon and lets her fight while floating in the air. This skill is fueled by “Nightsoul points,” which act like energy. Once her energy runs out or you deactivate the skill, she’ll stop floating. Activating the Skill Attacks in Nightsoul’s Blessing Mode If you hold the skill button, Chasca can do a powerful dive attack from the air. If she hits the ground, her floating mode ends. |
Elemental Burst: Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round | Chasca shoots a powerful Galesplitting Soulseeker Shell that causes a big explosive AoE Anemo dmg. After the explosion, the shell splits into 6 smaller Soulseeker Shells that target nearby enemies. If your team has Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro characters, 2 of the Soulseeker Shells will get an Elemental boost. These boosted shells deal Elemental DMG based on your team’s elements (randomly chosen). |
Chasca’s Passives
Bullet Trick | This improves her Elemental Skill (Multitarget Fire) while charging. Based on how many different elements (Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro) are in your team: 1 Element: 33.3% chance to convert the 3rd Shadowhunt Shell into a boosted (Shining) Shell, 2 Elements: 66.7% chance and 3 Elements: 100% chance. For every Element Type in your team, Chasca gains Spirit of the Radiant Shadow stacks. This boost lasts until the current Multitarget Fire ends. |
Intent to Cover | When a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Chasca fires a Burning Shadowhunt Shot at an enemy, dealing a percentage of her Shadowhunt Shell DMG from her Elemental Skill. If there are Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro teammates, the Burning Shadowhunt Shot will deal Elemental DMG based on their elements. This DMG is treated as Charged Attack DMG. |
Night Realm’s Gift: Everburning Heart | When Nightsoul Points Run Out, Chasca uses a special energy called Phlogiston to stay airborne. If you’re in a special area in Natlan (Phlogiston Mechanic zone), When switching to Chasca while another character is in the air, she gains: 32 Nightsoul points and automatically |
Genshin Impact Chasca Build Guide: Constellations
In this section, we will break down the constellations for Chasca in Genshin Impact.
C1 | Converts the 2nd Shell into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell, improving the number of enhanced shots you can fire per rotation. C1 is a strong utility boost that makes her more consistent and efficient, but it lacks the raw damage upgrades and combat-altering effects of higher constellations. |
C2 | Each Shining Shadowhunt Shell triggers an AoE explosion for an additional 400% ATK as Elemental DMG. This makes her crowd control and multi-enemy fights incredibly efficient. Automatically grants 1 stack of Spirit of the Radiant Shadow (15%-65% DMG boost), ensuring better Shining Shell damage from the start. This constellation significantly boosts her versatility and Elemental damage output, making it a close contender for best. |
C3 | Elemental skill increased by 3 levels. |
C4 | Restoring 1.5 Energy per Radiant Soulseeker Shell hit helps her recharge quickly, making her Elemental Burst more consistent. Like C2, it adds another layer of massive damage with AoE explosions, further amplifying her potential in fights with multiple enemies. This constellation is excellent for sustaining her Elemental Burst uptime and improving her overall damage, but it doesn’t have the same game-altering impact as C6 or the sheer AoE power of C2. |
C5 | Elemental burst increased by 3 levels. |
C6 | Multitarget Fire’s charge time is removed after triggering Spiritbinding Conversion, making it effortless to fire off fully-loaded shots without delay. 120% CRIT DMG Boost massively increases the damage output of both regular and Shining Shadowhunt Shells. The short cooldown makes this upgrade reliable and spammable in combat as well. C6 transforms Chasca into an absolute DPS monster, letting you maximize her damage potential with less effort and higher speed. |
As far as Constellations go, Chasca’s constellations are pretty average at best. The only game-change worthy is undeniably her C6. In order of best to least best constellation: C6>C2>C1>C3>C4=C5
Genshin Impact Chasca Guide: Best in-slot weapon
The best weapon for Chasca will be the Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage, a 5-star weapon that will be released with her. It has a CRIT DMG main stat and is a dps-based weapon. Here’s other alternative 5-star weapons included, from best to least best in slot for Chasca:
- The First Great Magic
- Aqua Simulacra
- Thundering Pulse
- Skyward Harp
- Polar Star
For F2P players, her best in the slot is the Song of Stillness, a craft-able 4* weapon in Fontaine. Although, it is not the best 4* option by a long short. In terms of 4*, it would be the new Flower-Wreathed Feathers weapon, a gacha only weapon that will be released with the Phase 1 weapon banner in Version 5.2. As this is an Event-Wish exclusive weapon, you cannot get the Flower-Wreathed Feathers in other ways. Here’s other alternative 4-star weapons included, from best to least best in slot for Chasca:
- Scion of the Blazing Sun
- Chain Breaker
- Hamayumi
Genshin Impact Chasca Build Guide: Artifacts to use
Obsidian Codex (BiS) | 2-Pieces: While the equipping character is in Nightsoul’s Blessing and is on the field, their DMG dealt is increased by 15%. 4-Pieces: |
Marechaussee Hunter | 2-Pieces: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15% 4-Pieces: |
Ideally, since Obsidian Codex is the BiS set you should aim for ATK/ATK/Crit as Chasca’s kit allows her to dish out more damage with an Attack goblet than an Anemo DMG goblet. Unless you’re using Marechaussee Hunter she would then need an Anemo goblet. For substats focus on ATK and Crit.
Genshin Impact Chasca Guide: Best Team Comps
Ideally, Chasca’s kit revolves around using Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo units to maximize her bullet damage. As such you will notice that in her best teams it is important to have Furina and Bennett in them for the highest damage potential. The 4th slot is situational. Here’s some potential ideal team comps for Chasca:
Chasca | Furina | Bennett | Ororon (Best character to take place in the 4th slot due to his support capabilities of using the Cinder City Artifact set) |
Chasca | Furina | Bennett | Xiangling (As good as Ororon for 4th team member but still not ideal) |
Chasca | Furina | Bennett | Layla (For Shield and cryo application) |
Final Thoughts
Chasca seems to be a great Anemo DPS to have dishing out high amounts of damage but there are some issues with her gameplay and kit and the overall state of characters being released in Natlan. Chasca’s gameplay is limited and situational, which causes problems in her overall play-style. Although her fun game mechanics may make up for it if you want to try something different and unique.
