How to Use the Flashlight

While most of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl takes place in the open, you’ll spend a good chunk of the playthrough exploring dark buildings and caves. When that happens, the flashlight will be crucial in lighting up the area, allowing you to find your way through the dark. However, the game doesn’t do a good job of informing players how to use the flashlight in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

How to Use the Flashlight in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Players can use the flashlight in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl as early as the first mission, right as you get off the truck and enter the first compound. However, there’s no tutorial screen on how to toggle the flashlight on/off, and there is no single button to turn it on. This has resulted in players rummaging through the dark buildings and open areas without any light source, which could prove dangerous in the world of Stalker 2.

To turn on the flashlight, players must open up the weapon radial and toggle it on. Here’s how to do it on different platforms.

Does the Flashlight in Stalker 2 Require Any Resources?

Does The Flashlight In Stalker 2 Require Any Resource

No, the flashlight does not need to be charged or require batteries to operate in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. As the world is huge and players will need to have the flashlight with them at all times, it would be a lot tougher to search for spare batteries to keep it running, and it would be dreadful if you ran out of batteries and got stranded in a dark building.

Thankfully, the flashlight is an infinite-use tool that can be kept on at all times without needing any additional resources. It is one of Stalker 2’s forgiving elements, which makes exploration a tad bit easier.
