The quick access consumable slot does just that, allowing players to use an item quickly instead of rummaging through their bags. However, there’s a unique way to use the quick access bar which can make it a bit tricky for people who’ve just started playing Stalker 2.

How to Use the Quick Access Consumable Slots in Stalker 2
When players first start playing Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, they might be confused about how to use the unique quick access bar. This is because the game uses a unique button prompt system that players aren’t accustomed to.
The quick access consumables slots are divided into two sections: two items to the left and two on the right. To access the first item on the left, players will need to press the designated button once. Whereas, to access the second item to the left, players will need to hold the same button press. Here’s a breakdown of the controls.

How to Assign Items to Quick Access Slot in Stalker 2
Before you can use the quick access slots, you’ll need to assign items to them in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. To do this, you’ll need to head into your bag/inventory and pick the items you want to assign to a particular quick access slot.
Once you’ve decided, simply open the context menu for that consumable and select the quick access slot it’ll go into. PC players will just need to drag and drop the specific item into a quick access slot.
The following are common examples of consumables that can be assigned to the quick access slots:
- Medkits
- Bandages
- Food Items
- Drinks
Once you run out of an item in the quick access slot, it will be automatically replaced with a random consumable stored in your bag/inventory.
