But if you want to get the most out of this cozy game, you should know it’s all about the expansions. The Storybook Vale is the game’s second and latest expansion, introducing multiple new biomes, characters, and mechanics that you won’t want to miss.
However, if you’ve purchased the DLC and aren’t sure how to access the mysterious vale, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about getting started in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s newest adventure.
How to start the Storybook Vale expansion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Before you can access The Storybook Vale, you’ll need to meet a few prerequisites. For starters, you’ll need to have purchased and downloaded both A Rift in Time and The Storybook Vale expansions. Secondly, you’ll need to have completed Merlin’s quest “A Port of Many Worlds”, which is granted to you when beginning the A Rift in Time questline.
After you’ve purchased The Storybook Vale and have completed “A Port of Many Worlds”, you should receive a letter in your mailbox titled “The Storybook Vale Awaits…”
Open this mail to see that the Storybook Vale is in dire need of your help, stating that only you can clean up the disaster unleashed by the beloved Disney villains Maleficent and Hades. To reach the Storybook Vale, though, the letter claims you’ll need to go to the Stardust Port.
After reading the introduction, claim the included invitation and close out your mail. Since you’ve already completed “A Port of Many Worlds”, you will have access to the Stardust Port within the Dream Castle. Head there now!
Inside the Dream Castle, take the stairs on the left side and enter the glowing space in front of the door about halfway up the staircase. You’ll now be in the Stardust Port where you’ll notice the Hummingbird Airship waiting for you beneath the archway with a book icon.
Once you’ve taken the Hummingbird Airship to the Storybook Vale, just head forward a bit to be presented with the first of many tasks required to complete the tale within the first chapter of this lengthy new expansion. Best of luck out there!
