Repairing Weapons & Gear in Stalker 2
Every weapon and gear in Stalker 2 has a durability gauge that depletes gradually with every use. This bar doesn’t just indicate an item’s lifespan, but as it gets lower, players will notice the changes in their usage, too. For example, weapons with lower durability will start jamming often, and gear won’t protect you from damage as much as it did with higher durability.
Players can visit a technician to repair their gear and weapons with money. The cost of repairs scales with the durability gauge. So it’s recommended to repair your items before they reach 50% durability to avoid putting a large dent in your saved cash.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl features an extensive upgrade system for gear and weapons. Players can select individual sections of an item to add better components. Some components enhance the item’s effectiveness, while others can reinforce it, slowing down its durability gauge depletion.
