You’ll relive the iconic storylines, battle against fierce Primals, and immerse yourself in Hydaelyn’s vast realm to save Eorzea from certain destruction.
The reveal trailer offers a glimpse into the mobile game’s stunning visuals and storyline gameplay animations, which seems to be great for a mobile title, and it is currently a work in progress. The trailer sets the stage for a nostalgic yet fresh journey into Eorzea. You’ll see that we have a beautiful world to explore, with familiar faces and stellar battles, all reimagined for mobile devices.
The game stays true to its roots, maintaining the original’s thrilling combat, engaging story, and signature lifestyle activities like fishing and chocobo racing. Nine unique jobs will be available at launch, and you can switch roles freely using the Armoury system. Another interesting aspect is that it will offer over 600 different weather patterns across various landscapes. The first release of the mobile game introduces 11 crafting and gathering classes.
The Producer and Director of Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida, shared that the mobile version is a fully reimagined adaptation of Final Fantasy XIV and while it is optimized for mobile play, it will maintain the core elements of the original, including its story and battle content. Yoshida emphasized that the development team at Lightspeed Studios is working to ensure the same high-quality and immersive experience that players have come to expect.
As mentioned in the announcement, Final Fantasy XIV mobile will first roll out in China, with play tests scheduled soon. A global release will follow after that. The dates for both are not confirmed.
