Gameloft has confirmed that it’s investigating an issue preventing some Disney Dreamlight Valley players from receiving the full contents of The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition. The ongoing situation has dampened the launch of the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion.

Between early December 2023 and late August 2024, Gameloft rolled out the three acts of A Rift in Time, the first expansion pass for its popular life simulation adventure game. The company then followed up on that move by announcing Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale. The first chapter of the game’s second expansion pass arrived on Wednesday, November 20.

The launch itself was not entirely smooth, as some buyers of Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition still haven’t received all the content they paid for. Gameloft itself confirmed as much in a recent tweet, saying that it’s currently in the process of investigating the newly emerged issue. The developer characterized the problem as a delay in delivery times, suggesting that anyone who purchased the $49.99 expansion pass will eventually receive everything they were supposed to. No specific timeline for this delayed delivery has been provided by Gameloft.



The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition Moonstones and Exclusive Items Are Missing for Some Players

The problem reportedly affects the Magical Edition-exclusive items and Moonstones. The former include an Autumn Manor house style, Storybook Vale Dress and Ensemble, and Baby Pegasus companion and house. Meanwhile, the expansion pass is also supposed to ship with 10,000 Disney Dreamlight Valley Moonstones. Based on how similar bonuses worked in the past, these exclusive items and extra currency were presumably meant to be delivered to players via the in-game Mailbox system. But judging by some of the current social media chatter, many fans are still waiting to receive at least 5,000 Moonstones and all of the bonus items as of 9am PST / 12pm EST on November 20, roughly three hours following the expansion’s release.

Gameloft said that making sure everyone receives the content they paid for “soon” is a priority for its team right now. In the meantime, it would appear that the company has delisted the Magical Edition of the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion pass. The $49.99 pack cannot be found on the PlayStation Store, eShop, Xbox Store, Steam, or the iOS App Store as of 12pm EST on November 20. Depending on how long this situation persists, Gameloft might opt to issue some compensation to the affected players for their trouble.
