Bloons TD 6 is a difficult game to learn. There are so many towers, maps, and difficulties to play on that it can be intimidating at first. However, the best policy is to try out new things constantly, try to gain XP quickly to unlock some of the more impressive upgrades for towers and level up fast for monkey knowledge.

Bloons TD 6: Every Hero, Ranked
The right strategy for any tower defense game means selecting the right units. In Bloons TD 6, the most important of these choices is the hero tower.
Banana farming is one of the most critical skills to learn in Bloons TD 6, as the harder modes like Impoppable require players to have more cash on hand than is available just by popping bloons. This makes banana farming important, but what do the different types of banana farms do, and which is the best one?
Updated on November 20th, 2024, by Chris Harkin: Although Bloons TD 6 is constantly updating, and the various applications and advantages of different upgrades change over time, the banana farm has remained fairly similar since its inception. The three different paths remain much the same, with some slight changes that may have affected the situation they are best in and when they are appropriate. Nevertheless, banana farms are one of the most important parts of Bloons TD 6 and players should not forget about these towers just because they don’t shoot at the bloons like most other towers. Financial freedom is hugely useful in a fresh game.
Banana Central
The All-Out Banana Making Machine
The banana central, or top path of the banana farm, is all about increasing the number of bananas generated, and how much cash is made per round. As a standard 0-0-0 farm, four bunches of bananas worth 20 each will be produced each round, for a total of 80. As the upgrade paths along the top route are chosen, the farm will create at first 120 per round, then 160. At the banana plantation level, 320 will be created per round. The banana research facility increases the volume to 1500, and the Banana Central at the end of this path gives at least 6,000. This is a massive amount that is easier to collect as it comes in large boxes instead of individual bunches of bananas.

Bloons TD 6: Best Monkey Knowledge, Ranked
Bloons Tower Defence 6 has monkey knowledge perks that help players advance, but which Bloons TD 6 monkey knowledge is the best?
It may seem off-hand like the banana central must be the best path, as banana farms are specifically designated for creating more cash flow, and this is the path that creates the most cash. But it heavily depends on the game mode, which banana farm path is actually the desired one. Players must remember that if they are using this route, they will constantly have to collect these bananas, which can be hugely frustrating to do consistently for some players. Fortunately, there are ways around this, like using the banana farmer powers in most modes. Also, a cross-path with the bottom will allow players more time to collect their bananas before they decay, which can be an important piece of assistance to players trying to focus on many things within their game.
Monkey-Nomics
The Perfect Tool For Big Payouts
The middle path of the banana farm leads to Monkey-Nomics, a very different sort of money-making tower. While the collection of bananas from farms may frustrate some players, the middle path leads to a bank-style tower that holds all the bananas inside as they are produced. The player will only be able to manually collect them when the bank fills completely at 7,000 (or 9,500 with additional monkey knowledge upgrades). Players should make sure to unlock the right upgrades in the Support Section of the Monkey Knowledge so that they can get the biggest advantage in interest gained from this path.
This path has ease of access, as there is much less thinking about collecting the bananas to be done. The bank also uses the interest to gain bananas quicker than other methods might be able to do in the same volume of time. Importantly, the fourth-tier IMF Loan also comes with a power that allows players to go into debt but gain 10,000 money immediately. The fifth tier power of Monkey-Nomics upgrades this ability so that it no longer puts the player into debt; instead, simply gives 10,000 cash up to twice per round. Additionally, the bank now being able to carry up to 10,000 cash (12,500 with the monkey knowledge). This is a huge volume of money and involves less hands-on action from the player than manually collecting every banana that comes out of the farm. The interest gained over time, as long as players leave it to the bank to work with until it reaches capacity, is a big win that can hand out money worth huge upgrades for other towers in one swoop.
Monkey Wall Street
No Fuss Or Hassle, Combos With Merchantmen
The marketplace path is another very different way to earn cash, but it can be equally useful to others in certain situations. A marketplace will automatically generate bananas and add the cash to the player’s total without the player having to do anything. This takes a lot of the stress and thought out of farming, and is ideal for players who often forget to collect their bananas or empty their banks. Central markets will increase the amount of money earned and have the added value of increasing the income created by Merchantman boats if players want to spread the towers that are generating income for them.

Bloons TD 6: The Best Towers, Ranked
In the beginning, any monkey is valid in Bloons TD 6. But on higher difficulties and maps, only a few towers are worth the time and investment.
Monkey Wall Street has the value of a no-fuss farming style. It generates a lot of lives for players who are slipping slightly and leak a few bloons each round, and it works particularly well with other types of farming such as Merchantmen. It can be difficult to turn down this style on water-heavy maps where not as many farms can be placed but plenty of Merchantmen can. Although the bottom path won’t add more money than other farms, the bonus to what Merchantmen generate can make it an unforgettably useful technique for water maps, which there are more and more of with each new update in Bloons TD 6.
Subjective, But There Is An Answer
It can be difficult for players to choose which of these three paths to follow, because of how much the game changes. On water-heavy maps, putting a central market down is a great idea because Merchantmen can be used for the majority of the farm work. In an intense game mode that requires cash quickly, the top path is an excellent idea because of the hefty income it produces quickly.
Of course, if players are going deeper into the late-game, they will probably want all three tier 5 options, but the most useful one, in that case, is likely to be the Monkey-Nomics. The power can be used up to twice per round, generating a massive 20,000 cash by itself every single round. Players should try different farming strategies and get used to using all of them, particularly if they want to master some of the harder play styles, such as boss rounds. To farm on boss rounds is an incredibly difficult task, which will likely involve at least two of the three types of farms being used.
However, if players are looking for a basic answer as to which of the three paths is usually the most lucrative and useful, the answer is likely to be the top path, Banana Central. This path does bring the most cash, albeit at the cost of having to keep a close eye on the boxes and collect them as they come out for the maximum gain. For this reason, Banana Central and the top path can be considered the best of the banana farm options, particularly if players use a banana farmer power to collect the bananas for them, giving them plenty of freedom while still getting the maximum amount of extra money. However, players should remember that the best time to farm is also important to consider, not just which path to go down. Waiting until the mid-game so the early towers are down and can handle any type of bloon is usually the best strategy.
