Ororon joins the Genshin Impact roster as the newest Electro character, taking on a sub-DPS role tailored specifically for Electro-Charged reactions. Luckily while he benefits most from Electro and Hydro team mates, he doesn’t need to fit into very niche team compositions focused only on Hydro or Electro team members. Ororon’s greatest strength lies in his capacity to deal DMG while off-field through multiple means. His Elemental Skill, Elemental Burst, and unique passive ability enable him to deal AoE DMG whenever enemies receive Nightsoul-aligned DMG or Electro-Charged DMG.

This set offers a substantial Elemental DMG bonus whenever Ororon triggers an elemental reaction, benefiting both him and his teammates. Additionally, its 2-piece effect grants an Energy Recharge boost, which helps Ororon activate his Elemental Burst more frequently.

For players unable to equip this set on Ororon, there are alternative options, though they may not be as effective. Noblesse Oblige is a solid choice, enhancing Ororon’s Elemental Burst DMG and providing an ATK% buff for the team. However, this ATK buff may be less effective in certain teams, especially when paired with characters like Neuvillette who scale with HP. Similarly, Thundering Fury can boost Ororon’s personal DMG, but it offers no team-wide benefits. Overall, due to the significant buffs and versatility provided by the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, players should aim to equip him with this set as a priority.

The main stat priorities for Ororon are straightforward, as expected for most sub-DPS characters. An ATK% Sands, Electro DMG% Goblet, and a Crit-focused Circlet (Crit Rate or Crit DMG depending on sub-stats and weapon choice) will be the optimal setup. In certain team compositions that rely heavily on elemental reactions, an Elemental Mastery Sands can be considered, though ATK% will generally offer more consistent performance.

For sub-stats, players should focus on Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK%, and Elemental Mastery. Energy Recharge is also important, and players should aim for around 125% Energy Recharge when using Ororon with another Electro character, or about 150% for solo Electro teams, especially if they are not using an Energy Recharge-providing weapon.

For a more DPS-oriented approach, Yelan’s signature, Aqua Simulacra is an ideal off-field option, offering an impressive Crit DMG boost. While the weapon’s HP increase isn’t particularly useful for Ororon, the DMG bonus when enemies are nearby complements his off-field playstyle well. A slightly less premium option would be Skyward Harp, which works effectively as a stat stick, providing high Base ATK and Crit Rate. However, the secondary effect isn’t particularly beneficial for Ororon’s kit.

Among the 4-star options, Alley Hunter stands out as the best choice for maximizing Ororon’s personal DMG, especially when refined to higher levels. However, refining this weapon can be challenging for many players. For an accessible F2P option, the Natlan craftable bow Chain Breaker is a solid pick, providing either ATK or Elemental Mastery based on the team composition, both of which are useful for Ororon’s kit.

If players prefer an Elemental Mastery-focused build, The Stringless is an excellent choice. With the recent buffs to Electro-Charged reactions, this weapon can help increase the team’s overall DMG output significantly. The effect boosting Elemental Skill and Burst DMG is also beneficial, particularly for Ororon’s Elemental Burst.

Finally, for players prioritizing a support role, Favonius Warbow is the ideal 4-star option. Like Elegy for the End, it provides a substantial Energy Recharge boost, reducing the need for this stat on artifacts. Additionally, it generates Elemental Particles, enhancing Ororon’s battery capabilities for teams that rely heavily on Energy generation as long as players can focus on consistent Crit hits.
