Chasca is an Anemo DPS in Genshin Impact. Usually, Anemo users operate more as Support units because of their ability to trigger Swirl reactions. Being able to trigger Swirl alongside having Viridescent Venerer helps Anemo users shred enemies’ resistance, which is what makes them more Supportive.

While Chasca works with Viridescent Venerer to some degree, she’s a much better main DPS who can carry her team DMG. As a unique character who operates differently from most DPS units in Genshin Impact, it’s important to avoid these mistakes when using Chasca in Genshin Impact.
5 Building Her Anemo DMG
Chasca’s ability to shoot other elements from her Elemental Skill makes her a rare character to have. As an Anemo DPS in Genshin Impact, the idea of applying other elements complicates building her, since Anemo is not her main DMG source anymore. So, giving her Artifact sets that boost her Anemo DMG like Desert Pavilion Chronicle or Viridescent Venerer will take away from her DMG.
Additionally, Chasca doesn’t need an Anemo DMG Goblet or a Support to buff her Anemo DMG like Faruzan in Genshin Impact. Instead, it’s better to build Chasca as a general DMG dealer by giving her more Crit and ATK% than a specific type of DMG. Give her Obsidian Codex as it’s an overpowered Artifact set for Natlan units, and build her Goblet with ATK% to increase any element Chasca shoots from her gun.
4 Neglecting Her Charged Attacks
Chasca’s entire DPS comes from her Elemental Skill with a little help from her Elemental Burst. When in her Elemental Skill state, Chasca can hit Normal or Charged attacks with her flying gun. She can also Plunge attack, but that will end the state immediately. While hitting her Normal attacks is entertaining and sounds satisfying, it doesn’t match her mechanics since Chasca needs to shoot other elements, and she can only do that with her Charged attacks.
The best way to operate with Chasca in Genshin Impact is by starting to use her Charged attacks instantly after you cast her Elemental Skill. She will then begin charging her bullets and shooting enemies with multiple elemental hits.
3 Not Enabling Her Elemental Bullets
As mentioned before, Chasca really needs her elemental Bullets, so matching her with the wrong characters will take that away from her. Matching her with Geo, Anemo, and Dendro may sound useful, but it takes away from her DMG since she doesn’t shoot these elements.

Ororon’s constellations may be some of the best a Genshin Imapact 4-star can get, as they’re all perfectly crafted for AoE DMG.
It’s better to match Chasca with three of these elements: Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo. That will give her a 100% chance to cook four elemental bullets, which trigger many elemental reactions, especially if you match these elements to react together.
2 Pairing Her With The Wrong Characters
Chasca doesn’t only need Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo units to join her team, she also needs the ones that can benefit the team. So, having a unit for the sake of giving her that element will ultimately hurt the team. The perfect characters to join Chasca teams in Genshin Impact are the off-field DPS units or the Supports in Genshin Impact.
Since Chasca is going to keep enabling all the elements, it’s much better to include more Supports than off-field DPS units. However, sometimes you have units that can do both, like Shenhe, and Furina in Genshin Impact. These Supports will buff Chasca to greatly increase her DPS as she shoots all their elements at enemies, which is why Chasca is such a unique unit in Genshin Impact.
1 Not Taking Advantage Of Her Open World Utility
Having an Anemo unit who’s from Natlan will definitely create a character who’s overpowered in the open world map. So, you should not be running around the map while having a unit like Chasca. She can bypass any barrier, whether it’s a mountain or a sea, she just flies through.
