Unless players are still working toward ship module upgrades or title unlocks, there isn’t much in the way of perpetual progression in Helldivers 2 beyond incremental Premium Warbonds to buy and spend medals on. On the other hand, Helldivers 2’s achievement/trophy list behaves like a supplementary form of progression players can pursue, and this avenue is particularly terrific for anyone who may find it to be more engaging or stimulating to experiment with their play style or accomplish odd tasks they might never have otherwise.
Players can complete a lot of achievements in Helldivers 2 by themselves, such as ragdolling while using a jet pack or killing 100 enemies with fire damage in a single mission, without needing to rely on other players or any extenuating circumstances they have no control over. However, some are earned exclusively by cooperating with others and others require all teammates and RNG to be on the player’s side. If even one star is unaligned in the cosmos, for example, it can be a tiresome nuisance attempting to complete Helldivers 2’s “Caught them by Supplies!” achievement.

Why Helldivers 2 Might’ve Hit a Ceiling with Ship Module Upgrade Customization
Helldivers 2 doesn’t have much in terms of satisfying ship module customization and that is perhaps due to a severe limitation on real estate.
Helldivers 2’s Charger Resupply Kill is Disarmingly Challenging
“Caught them by Supplies!” tasks players with killing a charger with a Resupply pod, as in having its impact land the killing blow, and while on paper that might sound simple it is anything but. Firstly, Helldivers 2’s chargers are rarely idle for long, and even when they are players must ensure enough damage has been dealt to it beforehand so the pod actually kills it.
Stun grenades,
EMS Mortar Sentries
, and Orbital EMS Strikes become crucial in this circumstance if only to hold a single charger in place.
Secondly, and maybe most paramount to players’ chances, is whether or not players are generously given the luxury of calling down resupply pod stratagems. One of the only ways to guarantee players earn the achievement is if they are able to communicate to every other squad member their ambition as well as have them agree to players being the ones to call in the resupply pod themselves. Frivolous squad members calling in a resupply, perhaps as a natural reflex, is a surefire way to stall or often negate any chance of completing the achievement due to how long the stratagem’s cooldown is.
Helldivers 2’s Charger Resupply Kill Achievement is a True Test of Patience
Because so many Helldivers 2 mission types can be cleared in an average of 10 minutes—depending on how many side objectives or samples players are pursuing—it becomes painfully plain how long three-minute cooldowns can be when the stratagem is wasted or mistimed. Plus, in the precious time that a resupply stratagem is available, players need to be fortunate enough to have a charger nearby, and being on the bad side of RNG can sometimes result in full missions without a single charger sighting and a lot of wasted time for players’ troubles.
Not just any random
Charger
will suffice, either; it must be an ordinary, base charger, and not a Behemoth or Spore variant.
Then, when all stars align and a resupply pod does actually land a killing blow on a charger, players are still at the mercy of luck regarding whether the achievement actually triggers or not. Glitches are not at all uncommon in Helldivers 2, especially ones clipping players or enemies through environment collision, and it’s unfortunately not surprising when a resupply pod fails to actually make contact with a charger despite the blue homing beacon being planted firmly and precisely on it.
