Steam has plenty of online multiplayer PC titles, but Valve’s store is not lacking in great couch co-op games either.
In addition to its regular roster, Servonauts will feature four secret characters, which Game Rant can now exclusively reveal. This group consists of Cthulnaut, Ducknaut, Greasernaut, and Rexnaut, all of which have fairly self-explanatory names. Although Cthulnaut is based on the terrifying cosmic entity envisioned by H.P. Lovecraft, it’s about as cute as such a character can possibly be. The remaining three secret gas station attendants that players will be able to control in Servonauts also look pretty adorable.
Servonauts Secret Characters
- Cthulnaut
- Ducknaut
- Greasernaut
- Rexnaut
Since these Servonauts are billed as “secret” characters, it stands to reason that players won’t be able to select them right from the start. However, the exact mechanics of unlocking them in the upcoming indie game are currently unclear. In addition to this secret quartet, Servonauts previously revealed its default roster, consisting of four unnamed characters, each with a distinct color theme: red, blue, orange, and green. The red attendant kind of looks like a sci-fi firefighter, whereas the green and orange ones were possibly inspired by classic diving gear, like the so-called standard diving dress. Meanwhile, the blue attendant kind of resembles a futuristic welder.
It’s already possible to get some first-hand experience with the game’s main character roster, courtesy of the Servonauts demo that’s now available on Steam. The wacky indie title is also coming to the Switch, although it has yet to receive a demo version for Nintendo’s hybrid console. According to its eShop listing, the Switch edition of Servonauts will retail for $14.99. While this is also the likely price point for its PC version, the game’s Steam page still doesn’t mention anything in the way of pricing details as of November 18.
Servonauts is scheduled to reach the Switch and PC on Thursday, November 21. It will be published by Untold Tales, a Polish company known for distributing a varied assortment of indie games, including What The Duck, Everdream Valley, Arise: A Simple Story, and The Hong Kong Massacre. Aside from adding to that diverse portfolio, Servonauts will also expand the selection of chaotic couch co-op games for the Switch and PC.
