Double Exposure Character Are You?

There are many characters in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, each with their own roles in the story, no matter how minor. Each character has a unique personality and characteristics that differentiate them from others, whether they’re bold and fierce or reserved and shy. Some are sensitive and empathetic, while others are more aloof and analytical.

Some of these characters are protagonists, and others are antagonists, but each has positive and negative traits. And with such relatable characters, you’re bound to find some similarities in at least one. These are 12 characters in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure and the astrological sign they best align with.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Reggie

Aquarians are often creative and eccentric. Though we don’t get to know Reggie too well, he does seem to display those characteristics. As a Caledon student taking Max and Gwen’s seminars, we see Reggie trying to find his confidence through art. His essay, which can be found in Gwen’s office, shows promise for a career in the arts.

An Aquarius can come across as aloof and independent. This sets Reggie apart from other characters, interfering with his assimilation into school life. Still, Reggie desires to fit in with others, which leads him to pledge Abraxas.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Max

Pisces is often known for being empathetic and compassionate, aligning well with Max Caulfield’s character. Max cares deeply for those around her, even those who are more foe than friend. She’s also very intuitive, which we can see she’s interacting with others. She seems to understand things on a deeper level without necessarily having evidence behind her intuition.

Like Pisces, Max is very creative and finds comfort in making art. This art could also be used as a form of escapism for Max, as she can travel to the point where a photo is taken.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Safi

A fire sign, Aries is known to have many dominant traits, like boldness, confidence, and determination. Safi embodies all these traits in the way she presents herself and how she’s perceived by others.

However, Safi reflects some of Aries’ negative traits as well. Aries can be impulsive, selfish, and prone to anger. All these traits can also be seen in Safi and the choices she makes throughout the plot. Safi doesn’t always think before she acts, and her anger can drive her impulsivity, which sometimes causes her to make selfish decisions.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Amanda

As an earth sign, Taurus’s are renowned for their dependability, reliability, and loyalty. Amanda is a character that is always there for the people she cares about. She’s the first person we see help Max in her grief, pulling her out of the depressive state that’s kept her at home.

This sign is also considered to be stubborn, which is reflected in Amanda’s approach to relationships. Her stubbornness can be interpreted as a positive trait, as she’s a principled character who isn’t afraid to draw boundaries and protect her peace, even if it may hurt another person’s feelings.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Lucas

Considered to be outgoing and expressive, Gemini is a likable sign. Though he has some skeletons in his closet, Lucas is well-liked by the faculty and students of Caledon and his fans. He’s also very intelligent, which is shown through his career as a professor.

Gemini can also be flexible and adaptable, which Lucas embodies in tough situations. When confronted, Lucas can find a way to spin things in his favor. He can adjust to the reaction and/or perception he’s receiving, and find a way to come out on top of the situation.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Moses

Sentimental, intuitive, and loyal—all these traits are common in Cancer. From the beginning of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, Moses is a nurturing and loyal figure. Moses cares for his friends and stands by them when needed, but he also holds them accountable when necessary.

Cancer can also be sentimental and materialistic. They hold onto things they feel emotionally attached to. Moses shows this emotional attachment with Safi’s camera, wanting to know the last picture she took. He also paints Gemini on the wall in his office because Safi wanted to, and builds a gingerbread house on his own at Krampus, because that’s what he and Safi used to do.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Diamond

Leos are well known for their leadership, big personality, and ability to stand out from the crowd. Though she’s a minor character, Diamond exudes main character energy. After all, her Dualtone Phone Booth is one of the few student projects that really sticks out among others.

We see her strive for leadership by campaigning against Vihn as the president of Abraxas. Leo’s argumentative streak plays in nicely here, as Diamond can easily go head-to-head with Vihn and argue why she should be running Abraxas. Diamond is also comfortable with her independence, as she doesn’t blindly follow the actions of Abraxas.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Loretta

Though Loretta often comes across as a nuisance to some of the characters, she’s good at sleuthing. She uses her analytical skills to try to deduce the mystery surrounding Safi’s case, and she’s quick to jump at the chance for a soundbite.

Virgos are an analytical and critical sign. They can use their critical thinking and practical skills to solve problems. This earth sign is also typically detail-oriented. We can see this trait in Loretta as she pays attention to the small things others might overlook.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Vihn

If you’re a Libra, you might recognize some similarities in Vihn. As Abraxas’ president, and Yasmin’s assistant, it’s Vihn’s job to be diplomatic and social. His social skills, which could be interpreted as gossip, keep him well-informed on what’s happening around him.

Because they’re so social, Libras can come across as flirtatious, which matches up well with Vihn, who frequently flirts with Max and is always down for a game of Smash or Pass. Like Vihn, Libras can sometimes be people pleasers, which he leans into to protect himself when under pressure.

Scorpio (September 23 – October 22)

Alderman

As a water sign, Scorpios often lead with emotion. Scorpios are passionate, persistent, and occasionally obsessive. Alderman is constantly driven to solve Safi’s case. He’s persistent in questioning Moses and Max and tends to get a bit too personal.

He also has a strategic mindset regarding the case. He isn’t oblivious to all the strange things he’s observing, and he waits until the appropriate time to mention them, making him a solid interrogator. Scorpios are also generally independent, which makes sense for Alderman as we only ever see him on his own.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Gwen

Sagittarians are known for their honesty, and Gwen always seems to tell it like it is. Though she may have some of her own secrets, Gwen is upfront about how she’s feeling, even if it causes tension between herself and other characters.

She can be blunt sometimes, but only because of her strong sense of self. She’s been put in a box before, and she won’t let anyone put her in that position again. Aside from their honesty, Sagittarians tend to have adventurous spirits, and hitchhiking across the country alone certainly aligns with that trait.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Yasmin

Known for being hardworking and ambitious, Yasmin encompasses many Capricorn traits. As the President of Caledon, Yasmin strives to be at the top. And her accomplishments are both impressive and admirable.

She’s so devoted to her career that she doesn’t take time off while grieving her daughter. On the negative side, some Capricorns can be prideful and greedy. Yasmin’s pride and greed are what lead to her downfall. These characteristics cloud her judgment, as we see her put Caledon and her reputation before others, including her own daughter.
