Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has brought a fun and fast-paced entry to players, but it has recently hit a big post-launch bump. To Cheat or Not to Cheat?

The issue seems to be mainly affecting cars and the large bus laid out around Nuketown. Instead of creating obstacles for players like they are supposed to, sections of the vehicles are sometimes completely missing, which presents players with a difficult decision. On the one hand, this leaves the door wide open for players to freely cheat, since the absence of walls makes it pretty obvious where opponents are hiding. However, on the other hand, that gives players experiencing the glitch a massive advantage that is incredibly unfair to the opposing team. They may also have to simply leave the match, since the glitch makes it such an unbalanced experience. If one ultimately chooses the cheating option, they could also run the risk of getting banned, even though it’s technically the game’s fault. This isn’t the first issue to arise in Black Ops 6, but it has definitely been one of the most controversial since its October launch.

According to Reddit user BosanskiManiak, the glitch doesn’t appear when looking back at the match through Theater Mode, which is even stranger. The legacy of Nuketown in the Call of Duty franchise made many players excited about its appearance in Black Ops 6, but it has also been the source of frustration.

On the bright side, this specific glitch doesn’t seem to happen every single time someone enters a match in Nuketown. What’s even more fascinating, though, is that this wall-vanishing glitch seems to have happened in other Black Ops entries. In a reply to BosanskiManiak’s original post, fellow player PissedoffCoDfan states, “Yeah, just a glitch. I haven’t seen it myself in Black Ops 6 yet, but I’ve definitely seen it in past versions of the map.”


The Nuketown map is directly inspired by the real-life nuclear testing towns that were built by the United States government during the 1950s.

As of now, there has not been any official word on how soon players can expect a patch. Until then, it’s important for players to be aware of the issue and act accordingly when matched up in Nuketown. Although it can be tempting to cheat with such a glitch, it can also prove to be too risky in the long run.
