Black Ops 6 Players Are Annoyed At Activision For Removing Stakeout 24/7
“Is there even a reason why the devs keep removing what people want?”
One part of Activision’s latest game’s meta that is getting particularly annoying for players, though, is the prominence of smoke grenades.
“I Suck At Getting Kills So I Throw Smokes To Make Everyone Else As Miserable As Me”
It’s a common issue in Black Ops 6 for a map to be inundated with smoke grenades, severely hampering visibility. This is often the case when players use a thermal scope or a melee weapon to seek kills. It’s a major frustration for players, so much so that a recent Reddit thread has garnered almost 1,000 upvotes and 350 comments.
The thread’s creator, sweatyom, posted it with the message, “I don’t know what the answer is or how to fix it but every match being flooded with smoke grenades all over the map is really getting old.”
Smoke grenades were called the “cowards method” and a “rookie movie,” with one player saying that “the smokes are to help them individually, not help the team.”
User apieceajit comedically pointed out just how much of an issue it can be, adding, “Pro Tip: Combine tactical smokes with a gun featuring smoke tube grenades for a total of five smoke grenades per life within roughly eight seconds of spawning.”
Every match being flooded with smoke grenades all over the map is really getting old.
The original post did have some detractors, however—mainly those who use smoke grenades.
CanadaSoonFree said, “Playing Nuketown? Smokes are often the only way to break a spawn farm.” Civil_Store_5310 added, “It’s literally the only defense against camper spawn farmers.”
It’s clearly a divisive issue, but one of the bigger ones the Black Ops 6 community is facing right now, and it will be interesting to see how, if at all, Activision will deal with it.
