Here are the best Evo Musketeer decks you might want to try out in Clash Royale:

  • 2.6 Hog Cycle
  • Balloon Miner Cycle
  • Hog Mortar EQ Control

You’ll find more information about these decks below.

2.6 Hog Cycle

The 2.6 Hog Cycle deck is as old as Clash Royale itself. Known for its unrelenting, no-holds-barred offense combined with cheap, efficient defense, this is one of the most iconic decks in the game. With the arrival of Evo Musketeer, this deck is making a massive comeback in the current Meta.

Here are the cards you’ll need for this deck:

Card Name

Elixir Cost

Evo Skeletons

1

Evo Musketeer

4

Ice Spirit

1

Ice Golem

2

The Log

2

Cannon

3

Hog Rider

4

Fireball

4

With an average elixir cost of 2.6, this deck is best utilized by players with a quick and aggressive playstyle. It’s a classic Hog Rider deck that uses the win condition to its maximum potential. Pair the Hog Rider with an Ice Spirit and Ice Golem, and watch your opponent’s tower melt if they don’t deal with it properly.

In most cases, you’ll be using The Log and Fireball as the support spells for your push when running this deck. Log takes out swarm troops like Skeleton Army or Goblin Gang, while Fireball lets you deal with buildings or Minion Horde. You can also use the spells in late-game to trickle down the tower’s HP if you’re having trouble breaking through.

The Evo Musketeer serves mainly as a defensive troop in this deck. You’ve also got Evo Skeletons and Cannon, which means breaking through to your tower will be pretty difficult for your opponent. On top of that, the Ice Golem can help kite big units like Pekka or Mega Knight while your Skeletons and Evo Musketeer take them off the field.

This deck uses the Tower Princess Tower Troop.

Balloon Miner Cycle

clash-royale-balloon-miner

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Balloon decks perform well in Clash Royale, especially in the top ladder. Apart from a few Lava Hound decks, people usually avoid using this win condition since it’s unreliable, and getting a shot off on the tower is pretty much impossible. However, after Evo Musketeer’s arrival, there’s been a massive spike in this deck’s usage rate at all skill levels in the game.

Here are the cards you’ll need for the deck:

Card Name

Elixir Cost

Evo Skeletons

1

Evo Musketeer

4

Ice Golem

2

Barbarian Barrel

2

Snowball

2

Miner

3

Bomb Tower

4

Balloon

5

Defensively, this deck has always been good. You’ve got plenty of cheap, efficient cards that can handle all sorts of pushes. The Musketeer and Skeletons offer exceptional DPS, and the Ice Golem gives you plenty of outplay potential if you use it smartly. Snowball is still one of the best spell cards in the game, and Barbarian Barrel acts similarly to The Log and doubles as a mini-tank.

The deck’s main weakness was the offense since it’s pretty easy to distract the Balloon with a defensive building. With the Miner, you can certainly take out the defensive building and try to get a Balloon connection on the enemy tower, but it isn’t as reliable in the current meta.

That’s where the Evo Musketeer comes in. With her Sniper Shot ability, the Evo Musketeer can safely and reliably snipe down the

opponent’s defensive structures to make sure your Balloon hits the mark. And you’ve also got the Snowball to slow down enemy troops like the Dart Goblin or Archers.

We recommend going with the Tower Princess Tower Troop for this deck.

Hog Mortar EQ Control

Unless you were an OG Clash Royale fan, there’s a good chance that you’ve never heard of the Hog Mortar EQ Control deck. Having two win conditions in one deck, especially in a control/cycle deck, is pretty weird in today’s meta. But with the Evo Musketeer’s arrival, this deck is seeing a sudden surge in popularity.

Here are the cards you’ll want for this deck:

Card Name

Elixir Cost

Evo Mortar

4

Evo Musketeer

4

Ice Spirit

1

Goblins

2

The Log

3

Earthquake

3

Hog Rider

4

Goblinstein

5

While the Evo Musketeer certainly had a part to play in bringing this deck back to the meta, it’s not the only important card here. The new free champion, Goblinstein, is also one of the main driving forces behind this deck’s current success. Both of these troops offer amazing DPS, air control, and backline support for the Evo Mortar.

Most Hog Rider decks only use one win condition. If your opponent manages to shut your Hog Rider down, it becomes extremely difficult to make a comeback. This is where this deck shines the most. If your opponent keeps countering your Hog, you can start punishing with an Evo Mortar at the bridge on the opposite lane.

The Mortar also doubles as a defensive building when you’re playing against big beatdown decks. With the Goblinstein Monster, you have a tank that goes straight for the enemy tower. And you’ve also got plenty of direct damage between The Log and Earthquake to keep your opponents on their toes.

This deck uses the Cannoneer Tower Troop.

Tips to Use the Evo Musketeer in Clash Royale

clash-royale-evo-musketeer-overview

The Evo Musketeer is a pretty strong card; there’s no arguing that. However, it’s also quite easy to counter, and if players aren’t smart about how they use it, the opponent can easily take her out before she gets the chance to deal any real damage. Here are a few essential tips to keep in mind if you’re using the Evo Musketeer in your deck.

  • The Evo Muskteer’s Sniper Shot has infinite range but can only fire three shots. So, you’ll want to use it to damage the main defensive or offensive unit on your opponent’s side.
  • The Evo Musketeer can still die to a Fireball and Zap/The Log. If your opponent has a Fireball, you’ll want to outcycle it or space out your troops so they don’t get good value out of their spells.
  • The Evo Musketeer’s Sniper Shot has a slower attack speed than her regular attacks. If you want her to shoot faster, place her at an angle so that her ability doesn’t activate.
  • The Evo Musketeer works best with a tanky troop in front of her. So make sure you’re supporting her when building up an offense with the card.
  • Don’t play the Evo Musketeer into troops like Valkyrie or the Witch since they can counter her pretty easily.

New Evo cards in Clash Royale always add a layer of excitement to the game. And while Evo Musketeer’s arrival wasn’t as well-received as the other Evo cards in the game, the card certainly has everyone’s attention right now. The decks we mentioned should give you a solid idea of how to use her. But also make sure you take your own playstyle into account when you’re building a deck around this card in Clash Royale.
