The Berserk manga returned with Chapter 377, which showed the present plight of the Kushan empire. Despite incurring heavy losses, the Kushans managed to collect themselves and create another thriving environment for themselves. To avoid a repetition of the Ganishka incident, the Kushans decided to hold a Kurultai. The event is important to the Kushans, as this is where they discuss the most important affairs.
Before the Kurultai even started, Daiba made it clear that he had a bad feeling about it. As the event started, Silat took center stage and expressed his desire to become the general of the Kushan forces. His request shocked everyone, and some of the people wasted no time in bashing Silat. The head of the Northern clan also expressed his frustration with Silat’s proposal, but he was interrupted by Rakshas, who emerged from his back.

Rakshas Has Changed A Lot
Rakshas’s Death Affected Him On Many Levels
Rakshas’ emergence caused a state of panic. Everyone in the area knew that Rakshas’ appearance spelled trouble. Daiba straightaway ordered everyone to evacuate to a safer place. However, Rakshas did not begin attacking immediately; instead, he seemed to be in a deep trance. He had an existential crisis and was trying to remember what happened in the past. He realized that he had died at the hands of Rickert. But, somehow, he hadn’t been erased from existence.
Rakshas’ thinking was interrupted by the screaming of the Kushan leaders, and this angered him. So, he decided to attack them. However, Rakshas’ attack was intercepted by the Bakiraka. Silat had ordered them to dress up as servants to counter any potential threats. This particular move by Silat saved the lives of many Kushan leaders.
Rakshas’ was taken aback due to his attacks being rebelled by the Bakiraka. After the leaders were rescued, Silat challenged Rakshas to a duel. However, Daiba warned everyone to be careful, as Rakshas had the strength to fight a thousand men.
Rakshas Shocks Everyone With His Strength
Silat and his soldiers had the apostles surrounded, and it looked like they were in control of the situation. However, Rakshas turned the tide of the fight completely in one shift move. He opened the Astral Gates, a feat that required an immense amount of power. This resulted in a tornado appearing over the city that drew everyone’s attention. The Kushans noticed black goop coming out of the ground. From this black liquid emerged trolls charge at the citizens. The great disturbance in Od was noticed by Farnese. She heard the screams of the trolls, and she also noticed how all the people in the city were radiating negative emotions.
Rakshas’ ability to open the Qliphoth domain cannot be overlooked. In fact, Daiba mentioned that a regular apostle could never conjure demons of such magnitude. Rakshas’ power also began to affect the animals in the city, and they began to attack everyone around them. The strength of these animals was enough to overwhelm the members of the Bakiraka. The chapter ended with Silat lunging at Rakshas. In a short period, Rakshas made it quite clear that he was in a different league from everyone else.
Guts Needs To Be Freed In The Next Chapters
- Guts needs to return
- Farnese must stop the tornado
On the final page, fans saw that Guts was still shackled. There were a lot of rumors that Guts would be liberated, and he would join the fight against Rakshas. When it comes to killing apostles, nobody is more experienced than Guts. As it stands, Silat cannot overwhelm someone like Rakshas by himself, so he needs help. Guts is his best bet, but it will be interesting to see whether the Black Swordsman is freed or not.
With Guts and Schierke unable to fight, the responsibility to deal with Rakshas and the trolls falls on the shoulders of Farnese and Serpico. The two have proven their worth in the past, but this time, they face the biggest challenge of their journey.
