Where to Find Stinging Nettle

Where to Find Stinging Nettle

Stinging Nettle can be an irritating plant to find in Enshrouded. They’re used in a number of crafting recipes, and while they aren’t terribly rare, they can be exceedingly hard to spot, especially considering the area they grow in.

These herbs are great for temporarily boosting your Spirit, which is extra useful if you’re going for a Mage build in Enshrouded. If you’re wondering where to find some of these plants, here are a few locations that are worth checking out.

Enshrouded Stinging Nettle Location

You can find some Stinging Nettles all over Revelwood. Your best bet is to search the vicinity of the Revelwood Ancient Spire — look for green shrubs that are slightly larger, wider, and have bigger leaves. If you’re having trouble finding Stinging Nettle, just run through any patch of shrubs and spam your Interact button.

A better way to find any sort of useful plant or herb is to turn off the Small Foliage option in the Settings>Display menu. This will stop the game from rendering small and useless plants, potentially increasing FPS and making materials like Stinging Nettles easier to spot.

One spot you can try is to the north of the Revelwood Ancient Spire. Go to the top of the tower, then use a glider to reach the foot of the plateau marked on the map above. You’ll know you’re in the right spot once you see a patch of Spitting Plants. Make sure to bring a shield or strong ranged weapons in Enshrouded if you want to explore Revelwood.

Another spot you can try is Glenmwood’s End. Check the tops of the cliffs east of the town, right at the edge leading down into the Shroud zones. Look around while heading south until you reach the nearby Abandoned Hunter Camp, then head west to look for more. If there aren’t any here, try the cliffs above the Elixir Well southwest of the Revelwood spire.

Stinging Nettles are scarce and hard to spot. Expect to only find one or two shrubs in these marked areas even after spending minutes looking for them.

How to Farm Stinging Nettle in Enshrouded

Nettle seed crafting in Enshrouded

The best way to get Stinging Nettle is to literally farm for them. Once you’ve found a Stinging Nettle in the wilderness, don’t use it. Instead, you can use it to grow your own Stinging Nettles, provided you’ve unlocked the Farmer in Enshrouded.

Once you’ve rescued the Farmer, craft and place a Seedbed so you can get Nettle Seedlings. Then, make some Farm Soil from the Farmer’s crafting menu, then place that soil somewhere in your base. Next, put your Stinging Nettle seeds on your hotbar, select them, then place them onto the freshly-placed Farm Soil. Wait for some time, and you should get some Stinging Nettles that you can use to make even more Stinging Nettles in the future.

As of writing, you do not need to water or tend to any of the things you plant in Enshrouded, which is great since getting water can be a bit of a pain. Just leave your planted seeds be for a while, and they’ll eventually mature on their own.
