If you’ve been playing Genshin Impact for a little while, you might already have a wide range of DPS characters from every element. However, these characters aren’t as important for the game’s meta since there will always be a stronger DPS. The main thing that helps you clear the endgame content consistently is having the right supports.

Genshin Impact: Best Healing Characters To Use
Any Genshin Impact team needs a healer. Which characters are best suited to fill that role? We cover both dedicated healers and support characters.
The game has many types of supporting characters, ranging from providing your team heavy buffs to dealing extra off-field damage while driving your reactions. However, when you think of having the best support units, these are the obvious choices.

Yelan/Xingqiu
Rarity |
Five-Star/Four-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Hydro |
Support Type |
Reaction Driver |
While these might be two entirely different characters, they fulfill the same team purpose, automatically putting them in the same entry. Yelan and Xingqiu are heavy off-field Hydro damage dealers, which not only increases the overall damage of your team, but also allows for certain reactions to continuously happen.
These two are mostly used in reactions like Vaporize, Electro-Charged, Bloom, or Hyperbloom. Yelan is essentially the five-star version of Xingqiu with extra damage. She can also increase your team’s damage when you use her Burst. If you have both these characters, you can also use them together to double the value.

Raiden Shogun
Rarity |
Five-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Electro |
Support Type |
Energy Regen, Reaction Driver |
Genshin Impact has a custom of making Archons some of the best supports for their respective elements, which makes them a common sight on this list. Raiden Shogun is one of these as she can deal continuous off-field Electro DMG with her Skill, allowing you to use the Electro application for various applications.
However, the main reason for giving Raiden a slot in your team is to be used as a secondary DPS when your main DPS is in downtime, while also regenerating party-wide Energy with her Elemental Burst. The high damage from her Burst also allows you to use her as a main DPS if you fancy.

Nahida
Rarity |
Five-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Dendro |
Support Type |
Buffing Elemental Mastery |
When Nahida was first released during Sumeru, she was treated more as a sub-DPS as she could consistently deal high Dendro damage to the opponents, and you could increase the frequency or damage of these attacks based on the elements of your team. However, her Elemental Burst had another special ability.

Nahida is the fourth Archon and one of the most fun playable characters in Genshin Impact since she has quite a unique skill set.
It increases the Elemental Mastery of the active character, which works perfectly with various units like Alhaitham, Cyno, and Mualani. For Mualani, you can also use Nahida’s constant Dendro application to trigger Burn, which will in turn help her trigger Vaporize more often.

Furina
Rarity |
Five-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Hydro |
Support Type |
Sub-DPS/DMG Increase |
Continuing the Archon train, Furina is yet another phenomenal choice as a buffer in your team. She not only deals some of the highest off-field damage numbers, but also increases the DMG of other party members as your party loses HP during her Elemental Burst. Of course, you’ll have to keep healing your characters to get the most out of this boost.
Furina also has quite a low field time, allowing your main DPS to have a lot more time in the rotation. The only reason she’s fairly low on the list is the lack of flexibility since you wouldn’t want to use her in a team where her Hydro application can ruin the main reactions.

Zhongli
Rarity |
Five-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Geo |
Support Type |
Buffer |
So far, you’ve mostly seen support characters who can also deal a ton of off-field damage, which automatically lessens their support ability since one character can’t have it all. Zhongli, on the other hand, won’t deal a lot of damage for your team unless you have some constellations since he’s a sustainer.
The shield from his Elemental Skill is more than enough to tank the damage from most enemies. Moreover, when a character shielded by Zhongli exists near an enemy, they automatically lose 20 percent RES from all types of damage. This makes Zhongli a great universal support.
3
Bennett
Rarity |
Four-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Pyro |
Support Type |
Buffer |
Ever since Genshin Impact’s release, Bennett was one of the few four-star units that consistently stayed on the top of the meta, which is evident with his high position on this list even after so long. His Elemental Burst is mainly the bread-and-butter as it can increase the active character’s ATK massively.

The best part about it is that he doesn’t have any Pyro application apart from the first hit of the Burst, which makes him quite universal. As long as your main DPS scales on ATK, you can put Bennett in their team without thinking twice and enjoy a massive damage upgrade.
2
Xilonen
Rarity |
Five-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Geo |
Support Type |
Buffer |
One of the most recent additions to the top-tier supports of Genshin Impact, Xilonen initially didn’t carry a lot of expectations from the community since she was Geo. However, once she was released in the game, she not only dethroned Zhongli as the best Geo character, but also became a staple character to have.
Much like Zhongli, Xilonen is meant to be the sustainer of your team with her consistent healing from the Burst. However, with that healing, she can also provide a massive damage increase and RES shred for your characters. She also has very little field time for the support build, which is a cherry on top.
1
Kaedehara Kazuha
Rarity |
Five-Star |
---|---|
Element |
Anemo |
Support Type |
Buffer |
Kaedehara Kazuha was heavily underrated during his first release, but he quickly became one of the most sought-after units, with many pulling for him every time he gets a rerun. The reason for this is simple – he’s currently the best support you can find in Genshin Impact for most teams, with the exceptions of Dendro and Geo.
Much like Xilonen, he can also provide a massive damage bonus and RES shred on the opponent with the right artifacts. Apart from that, he can also Swirl one element with his Burst and consistently apply that element on the enemies for a little while, making it great for reactions as well.
