Oshi no Ko Author Finally Speaks About The Controversial Ending

Oshi no Ko manga came to its conclusion on November 14, 2024. Like many other titles, the ending of Oshi no Ko was considered controversial by fans. Most of them believe that it did not make sense, and maybe Aka Akasaka was forced to rush through it.

However, in a new interview, the Oshi no Ko author released a statement confirming his stance on the matter. Aka Akasaka confirmed that the series ended just like he had envisioned it to end. The interview was posted on Shueisha’s official website.

As previously stated, bringing a story to its conclusion is always tricky. In 2024, My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen reached their end. However, neither set of fans enjoyed the conclusion. They felt that Hirokoshi Kohei and Gege Akutami could write a better ending. While fans are entitled to their opinion, it is important to remember that every mangaka has their own idea of bringing the story to a close. Most of the time, the audience does not agree with how things end.

Oshi no Ko falls in the same bracket. But Aka Akasaka is happy, as he believes things went as he wanted.
