Brawlhalla Tales: Nix To Feature Epic Journey Spanning the Whole of Valhalla

The novel itself promises 112 pages’ worth of action and adventure meant to appeal to both newcomers and Brawlhalla fans alike. Like its name implies, the novel stars Nix, the “freelance reaper” who’s part of the hit game’s cast of fighters. The story starts with some interference from a “rogue Valkyrie” leading to an extraordinary occurrence: Nix missing her mark. This kicks off a chain of events that takes the protagonist across all nine realms of Valhalla, adamant to finish the job. On her quest, Nix encounters a variety of allies and adversaries, eventually entering Odin’s tournament, where victory is essential to saving not just her job but her very soul, according to a story synopsis that Dark Horse Comics shared with Game Rant.

Brawlhalla Tales: Nix features art by game illustrator R.J. Jost, coloring by Roshan Kurichiyanil, and lettering by Lucas Gattoni. Its story was penned by Brawlhalla co-creator Matt Woomer. The paperback graphic novel will be 6.635″ x 10.1875″ in size, which is the standard modern comic book format.

While this release will mark Brawlhalla‘s first venture into graphic novels, the hit fighting game has long been extending its presence beyond its own confines. Notably, it has developed quite a reputation for crossovers, collaborating with everyone from Roblox and Hungry Shark World to Growtopia and The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. Most recently, Brawlhalla crossed over with Borderlands and Mega Man in August and September 2024, respectively.
