Bloodborne would be a lot scarier if bosses could simply wander around outside their boss rooms and hunt you down, which is exactly what two unfortunate players experienced earlier this week. In a video shared to the Bloodborne subreddit, a Reddit user discovered that Lady Maria from The Old Hunters DLC can actually break out of her boss room under the right circumstances, and will still hunt you down if you try to run.

In the video (which has been embedded above), you can see two players mucking about outside a fog wall, watching their friend attempt to take down Lady Maria by themselves. In the post, they explain that they were doing this as a challenge run, deliberately giving Lady Maria more health due t the two summons, and having the host of the world take down a pumped up Lady Maria as a result.

Unfortunately, Lady Maria got tired of their tomfoolery and proceeded to lunge at the fog wall, somehow managing to teleport through it and give these players the fright of their lives. The players run back into the Living Failures boss arena, presumably heading for safety, but Lady Maria is persistent and chases them down regardless, all the while the poster of the video was occupied with “screaming and confusion” as they “completely lost [their] senses”.
In the end, the adventurous Lady Maria had to be put down, with the host of the world helplessly trapped within the boss room and apparently “not happy that we killed his Maria”. Still, a Bloodborne boss that can warp outside a boss arena and chase down anyone that annoys it is far too dangerous to let live. Let this be a lesson to all of you cocky Bloodborne fans out there – annoy Lady Maria at your own peril.
