Diving into Black Ops 6 Multiplayer throws players into high-octane action, featuring a variety of classic and new modes across a selection of small-to-medium-sized maps. To keep up with top competitors, players may choose to equip the best Submachine Guns and Assault Rifles available. Luckily, many may need to look no further than the Model L Assault Rifle.
The Model L is a standout weapon in the Assault Rifle category, unlocked upon reaching level 40. This weapon boasts one of the more consistent stats of all the weapons in its class, featuring a respectful level of damage-per-shot and range despite its low fire rate. Though the Model L is not exactly the best weapon for mobility of its category, falling behind options like the XM4, it can be made better with the best loadout.
Updated on November 18, 2024, by Nathan Round: With the Black Ops 6 integration into Warzone, the meta has shifted for the popular Battle Royale game. As Black Ops 6 weapons are currently dominating, this guide has been updated to include an additional Model L loadout tailored specifically for Warzone. Since the weapon excels in mid-to-long-range combat, a well-optimized Battle Royale build will ensure players can dominate in both Resurgence and regular Battle Royale playlists.

Black Ops 6 has a neat roster of Marksman Rifles, with the DM-10 being a standout option when paired with the best loadout.
Best Model L Loadout In Black Ops 6
Best Model L Build:
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Light Stock (Stock)
- Rapid Fire (Fire Mods)
With solid range and decent recoil control by default, the Model L is already well-suited for engagements across distances in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer. However, it can feel sluggish in terms of mobility, which may limit players aiming to maximize Omnimovement. That’s where the above build shines.
Equipping the attachments listed above significantly boosts mobility and handling, along with improving aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds. Additional benefits include increased fire rate and magazine capacity, plus reduced horizontal recoil, ensuring the Model L maintains an impressive time-to-kill (TTK) and accuracy across various ranges.
Not a fan of the default Iron Sights? Then swap out the Rapid Fire Mod for an optic like the Kepler Microflex.
Best Black Ops 6 Perks & Wildcard

|
No loadout is complete without a strong selection of Perks and a Wildcard, and the options above are the top choices for the Model L. Key benefits include enhanced accuracy while sliding, diving, and jumping by reducing weapon motion, along with faster weapon swap speeds to pull out that reliable Handgun when needed. Additional Perks boost tactical sprint duration, mobility, and health regeneration after each kill, plus the ability to resupply ammunition.
Black Ops 6 Secondary Recommendations
The Model L is more than capable of managing opponents well beyond medium range, but to avoid being caught off guard while reloading, players should equip a reliable Handgun. Enter the Grekhova, the best weapon to switch to in these situations, thanks to its full-auto capabilities and excellent time-to-kill (TTK). Other solid choices include the 9mm PM and GS45.

This next build is tailored for the long-range meta in Warzone Battle Royale. With the attachments listed above, players are well-equipped to take down opponents from afar, thanks to a boost in bullet velocity and damage range, as well as an increase in fire rate. Both horizontal and vertical recoil have also been reduced, ensuring players can land their shots effectively.
Much like our previous Multiplayer build, many of the movement benefits have carried over, along with improved handling to ensure players can snap onto their targets with minimal effort. Pair all these attributes with a massive magazine, and players will find themselves decimating their foes regardless of the situation.
For a good five-attachment build, drop the following attachments: Commando Grip, Light Stock, and Rapid Fire.
Best Warzone Perks & Wildcard
- Dexterity (Perk 1)
- Quick Fix (Perk 2)
- Alertness (Perk 3)
- Gunfighter (Wildcard)
While the Gunfighter Wildcard can be swapped for Overkill if players feel more comfortable carrying an additional Primary weapon from the start, the Perks listed above are among the best options for the Model L. Benefits of this Perk Package include the ability to maintain accuracy while sliding, diving, and jumping, reduced fall damage, and a boost in health regeneration speed when earning kills or inserting an armor plate.
The benefits don’t stop there, however, as players will also be able to sense nearby enemies and receive alerts when they are being targeted. All these perks are invaluable in the heat of battle in Warzone, ensuring players are well-prepared for any situation.
Warzone Secondary Recommendations
When it comes to a good Secondary, players can always rely on the Grekhova. However, with the ability to buy an additional Primary weapon when using Gunfighter, and with Overkill being available, players have two ways to get their hands on an even better weapon for close-range gunfights. Currently, Submachine Guns are dominating the close-range meta. For solid options, players can consider the following: the Jackal PDW, the Tanto .22, and the Saug.
