Key Takeaways
- Focus on using Assault Rifles and SMGs in Warzone for optimum performance.
- The Model L and GPR 91 are top choices for long-range gun options in Warzone.
- XM4 and C9 are excellent all-rounders for mid-range and short-range fights.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 weapons and movement are now in Warzone. You’re still able to use the guns from Modern Warfare 2 and 3, but you’ll surely want to use the guns you levelled up since Black Ops 6 launched. Much like in multiplayer, some guns are better than others in Warzone.

Call Of Duty: Warzone – The 10 Best Assault Rifles
These assault rifles are must haves for CoD Warzone.
For the most part, the likes of Marksman Rifles and Shotguns aren’t worth using across the board. Assault Rifles and SMGs are where you’re going to want to focus. Unless you’re sniping, the former are best for long range, with the latter making up the short range options. Narrowing the classes down, some weapons are better to use than others.
This article will stick to the standard five attachment loadouts that everyone can use. You can have up to eight with the Gunfighter Wildcard equipped, but that’s not something everyone will have active.

The Model L is the assault rifle if you’re looking for pure TTK ability. Much like in Black Ops 6 multiplayer, it hits hard in Warzone, particularly with the attachments listed above.
It’s not as agile when moving as other assault rifles, but it has limited recoil and kills other players very quickly. It also doesn’t use all of its ammo as quickly as other weapons, but you’ll likely still want extended mags attached. Unlike a lot of the other guns in Season One of Warzone, the Model L you find on the ground also isn’t too bad. If you find it, pick it up so that you don’t have to deal with the awful AK variants that are in the floor loot.

The best guns in multiplayer rarely tend to be the best in Warzone, and that trend also applies to the worst weapons. The GPR 91 is among the most useless Assault Rifles in Black Ops 6. It shoots fast and straight, but does significantly lower damage than the other options in the game. Its handling also isn’t high enough to counter that.
However, take it over to Warzone with the right attachments connected and it’s a phenomenal option for your long-range option. It won’t do the quick the damage of the Model L, but it’s easier to run around with and the TTK is more than quick enough for it to be worth trying out at the very least.

XM4 will be the default pick for most players who have been playing Black Ops 6. Since it’s the first assault rifle you have access to in multiplayer, most of you will have it at a high level already. That means you should have most of the good attachments unlocked already.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – How To Unlock Krig C And Saug
Two new weapons arrived at the start of Season One. You’ll want to unlock the Krig-C and Saug in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 as soon as you can.
The XM4 is a good all-rounder. It’s the perfect assault rifle for mid-range fights, hiding hard enough and not feeling anywhere near as slow as the likes of the Model L. Be sure to have an extended magazine of some description attached, as the base 30 rounds is not enough for any Warzone mode or map.

Much like the XM4, the C9 is the SMG most players who’ve been playing the Black Ops 6 multiplayer will have levelled up because it’s the first one you have available for custom loadouts.
While you can use attachments that make the C9 quick to use, the gun’s main strength is its firepower. It hits harder than the other SMGs, albeit with a lower fire-rate. Be accurate with your shots, however, and there’s no better SMG to use.

The likes of the Minibak and the Bizon have both been meta in their time since Warzone originally launched. The PP-919 is the spiritual successor to those weapons, and it has kicked off Black Ops 6’s time in Warzone as one of the best SMGs.
It’s a well-rounded SMG that can be built to be both fast and hard-hitting. If you put the Fast Mag and Balanced Stock on it, it’s rivals the other SMG options when it comes to power and movement at close-range.

This isn’t an SMG you see very often in multiplayer, but the Jackal PDW is a great option in Warzone. It’s great because of the high handling you can give it with the right attachments.
With the likes of the Recoil Springs and Compensator attached, you’ll be able to rush around the more enclosed area of Urzikstan or Area 99 without compromising damage. Then, pair the Jackal with a longer-range Assault Rifle to be powerful at all ranges, creating the perfect loadout.
