Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Multiplayer is non-stop action, bringing Omnimovement to the forefront along with a roster of small and medium-sized maps to ensure the gunfights never end. While most players may be diving into Black Ops 6 Multiplayer with popular Submachine Guns like the Jackal PDW, some may want to slow down and take down opponents from a distance with the LW3A1 Frostline.
The LW3A1 Frostline is a bolt-action Sniper Rifle players can acquire as soon as they unlock their Custom Loadouts at level 4, making it highly accessible right from the get-go. This nifty Sniper Rifle boasts exceptional bullet velocity and damage range, along with decent levels of fire rate and handling when compared to other options in its category. Though it does boast quite a bit of weapon kick with each shot, the LWA1 Frostline can be an excellent option in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone with the best loadout.
Updated on November 17, 2024, by Nathan Round: The launch of Black Ops 6 Season 1 marks the anticipated integration of Black Ops 6 into Warzone, allowing many of its features and content to carry over to the popular Battle Royale title. With the LW3A1 serving as a fast-handling Sniper Rifle for both modes, this guide has been updated to include an additional loadout for Warzone Battle Royale, providing players with a fast and reliable one-shot headshot Sniper Rifle.

Best LW3A1 Frostline Loadout In Black Ops 6
Best LW3A1 Build:
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Fast Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Riser (Comb)
- Combat Stock (Stock)
- Rapid Fire (Fire Mods)
The above build for the LW3A1 Frostline is all about drastically improving the weapon’s ability to compete with other fast-paced weapons in Black Ops 6’s Multiplayer. While some players may be inclined to run eight attachments using the Gunfighter Wildcard, doing so is unnecessary.
Running the attachments listed above provides a nice boost in handling attributes such as reload speed, sprint-to-fire speed, and aim-down-sight speeds. Fire rate has also been improved, allowing players to chain back-to-back kills more easily. Though magazine ammo capacity has been reduced, and accuracy has taken a small hit, neither of these cons harm the weapon’s potential in Multiplayer. All in all, this is the best, high-handling Sniper Rifle available for Multiplayer.
Best Perks & Wildcard
|
|
Players may often find themselves running much of the same roster of Perks in Black Ops 6 when it comes to their Assault Rifle and Submachine Gun loadouts. However, they may need to edit their Perk Package and Wildcard options a little regarding the LW3A1 Frostline. The above Perk Package provides some neat benefits that will suit avid marksmen well.
These benefits include improved sprint and tactical sprint speeds while reloading and improved weapon swap speeds, which ensure that an unfortunate reload is easily manageable between gunfights. Players can also expect to have boosted mobility with this Perk Package and always gain back lost ammunition.
Secondary Recommendations
Though the LW3A1 Frostline is a powerhouse for long-range engagements, only the most skilled players can use it up close. Pair this with the weapons limiting magazine size, and players may need a backup weapon. Thankfully, Black Ops 6 offers a neat roster of weapons in the Handgun category that players can run alongside their Sniper Rifles. Currently, the Grekhova appears to be the meta option, as it is the only fully automatic weapon in its category. Of course, other options like the 9MM PM can also serve players well, thanks to their higher level of firepower.

Best LW3A1 Build:

This next build is tailor-made to compete in the long-range meta for Warzone. With the attachments listed above, players will see a drastic increase in both damage range and bullet velocity, making it easier to land shots from afar. On top of range potential, this build also boosts movement speed, along with improving aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds. But that’s not all.
Horizontal recoil control has also received a significant buff, reducing much of the weapon’s kick to manageable vertical recoil that recenters after each shot. Delayed Aiming Idle Sway has been introduced, making the weapon incredibly accurate for a short duration after scoping in. Though slightly slower in terms of fire rate, this build for the LW3A1 Frostline is ideal for increasing the chances of landing one-shot headshot kills from a distance.
For a solid 5-attachment build, drop the following attachments: Suppressor, Ranger Pad, Extended Mag I.
Best Perks & Wildcard
- Dexterity (Perk 1)
- Cold Blooded (Perk 2)
- Alertness (Perk 3)
- Gunfighter (Wildcard)
While the best Perks and Wildcards are subject to personal preference, the options listed above suit a Sniper loadout quite well. For the Wildcard, we opted for Gunfighter to make use of three extra attachments, but Overkill can also be considered if players prefer having an additional Primary weapon right from the start. As for the Perks, those selected are among the best.
Benefits of the Perk Package chosen include reduced fall damage and minimized weapon motion while moving, allowing players to remain mobile without sacrificing accuracy. Other useful advantages include the ability to avoid triggering another player’s Alertness Perk and sensing when enemies are targeting them.
Secondary Recommendations
For players who have chosen Gunfighter as their Wildcard, they will be locked into using a Handgun, for which the Grekhova will prove quite useful. However, it’s entirely possible to purchase an additional Primary weapon from another loadout via the Buy Station, allowing them to acquire an extra meta option right from the start.
Regardless of whether players opt for Gunfighter or Overkill, having a fast weapon to swap to will be advantageous. Additional Primary weapon options that players can consider include the Jackal PDW, the C9, the AS VAL, and the Saug — which arrived with Season 1.
