Temtem: Swarm has a bunch of cute Tems that you can use to take on enemies across various stages. Not only do they look adorable, but they’re also tough fighters with cool techniques, traits, and stats. One of these Tems is the Platypet.
This cyan, duck-like Tem is a starting character that comes unlocked for all players in the game’s early access. Known for its Water and Toxic-type attack power, Platypet can defeat both smaller enemies and bosses. While there are many exclusive techniques and gears for Platypet, players can only choose a few in each round. If you’re wondering what the best build for Platypet is in Temtem: Swarm, be sure to read this guide to the end.

Best Builds For Platypet In Temtem Swarm
In Temtem: Swarm, players can select up to four techniques and gear pieces for each Tem, which makes their build, and Platypet is no different. It has seven special techniques and multiple gear options ranging from common to rare, epic, and legendary rarities, so you have a lot of ways to customize your build.
While playing the game, players will see a ‘Level Up’ feature pop up on their screen, where they will be asked to choose a perk (technique or gear) from three to four available options. These perks appear randomly, so you’ll need to choose the best ones to help you take down more enemies and win the game. For those of you who are unsure, here are some top builds for Platypet in Temtem: Swarm.
Build 1
Technique Name |
Gear Name |
Ki Field |
Fortify Band (For a 5% Level Up in Armor) |
Toxic Ink |
Turbo Boots (For a 5% Increase in Speed) |
Water Blade |
Growth Balm (To Get 5% Health Recovery) |
Fluid Barrier |
Volgon Scale (Upscale Damage by 5%) |
When you use Ki Field, it creates a circle around the Platypet, allowing it to deal constant damage, and the Fluid Barrier stops enemies from getting closer. In addition to that, Toxic Ink splashes poisonous purple ink, and Water Blade passively takes down Temtems chasing you. These techniques work well if you have fast speed, good armor, and recovery to back you up.
Build 2
Technique Name |
Gear Name |
Ki Field |
Oozing Scent (For a 5% Decrease in Enemy Speed) |
Fierce Claw |
Growth Balm (For 5% Health Recovery) |
Toxic Ink |
Thermal Paste (For -5% Reduction in the Cooldown of Techniques) |
Wave |
Capacitor (For 5% Increased Duration of Techniques) |
The right build also depends on your unique situation. That said, if Platypet is taking more damage, you can swap out certain techniques or gear to better fit the moment. In addition to that, if your goal is to collect more Pansuns or pickups, choosing gears like Panloupe and Magnetic Module would be better for your set. Leveling up your currently equipped perks is best to make them stronger, so don’t hesitate to select them again when given the option.
Build 3
Technique Name |
Gear Name |
Ki Field |
Growth Balm (For 5% Health Recovery) |
Water Blade |
Multivitamin Gummies (HP Recovers Per 0.2 Seconds) |
Pollution |
Turbo Boots (For a 5% Increase in Speed) |
Wave |
Protein Bar (For 10% Increased Knockback Techniques) |
Platypet has an ultimate technique called ‘Tsunami’ in Temtem: Swarm that you can use alongside your current techniques, so make sure to take full advantage of it.
