HoYoverse even gave players a free copy of Version 1.6 five-star character Dr. Ratio, with Dr. Ratio becoming a fan-favorite for his powerful single-target damage. Honkai: Star Rail‘s Version 2.7 already boasts a stacked lineup for its new characters, featuring two of the game’s most highly-anticipated units. A new update shared by prominent Honkai: Star Rail leaker StepLeaks is teasing a new five-star selector in Honkai: Star Rail‘s next update. According to the leak, players will be given the chance to choose a free unit from among Honkai: Star Rail‘s seven standard rotation characters during the update. The “Gift of the Express” bonus is also said to grant players an additional 1,600 Stellar Jades, gifting a full free 10-pull with the massive batch of rewards. Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.7 update is currently expected to debut on December 3.


The introduction of a free five-star selector with Honkai: Star Rail‘s newest update would not be the first time HoYoverse has experimented with the idea. Genshin Impact recently added a similar reward for fans with the launch of its newest region of Natlan, allowing players to choose any member of the game’s standard rotation to add to their roster. Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail have also both regularly featured free four-star characters as in-game rewards, even offering Eidolons for March 7th’s Hunt variant in Version 2.5’s “Luminary Wardance” event.
