Dragon Quest 3 Remake‘s first main island acts as a tutorial zone, with the next area you travel to being where your real quest begins, and the guard rails start to come down. After hearing about the stolen crown, you’ll head to Skyfell Tower to find the bandit who stole it.
Robbin’ ‘ooD is the first boss players will face and can pose quite a challenge if you’re unprepared for him and his multiple minions. Robbin ‘ooD does have a weakness to fire that can easily be exploited by a mage with Frizz or the Hero’s Flame Slash ability. After beating Robbin ‘ooD, you’ll also have the choice of either letting him go or not; here’s what each choice leads to.

There are 46 Personalities in Dragon Quest 3 Remake; here’s what each one does.
Should You Let Robbin’ ‘ooD Go In Dragon Quest 3 Remake
While he is a thief who stole the King’s crown and led your party and a large segment of the army on a chase, the right thing to do is to let Robbin’ ‘ooD go. Choosing yes will have Robbin’ ‘ooD drop the crown on the ground before barely escaping with his bandits by jumping off the side of the tower when the soldiers finally catch up. After letting Robbin’ ‘ooD go, you can also leave the tower the same way he did by jumping off the side to get back to the overworld quickly and luckily without any fall damage or party members dying.
What Happens If You Choose No To Letting Robbin’ ‘ooD Go?
While this moment does seem like a major decision, ultimately you’ll always let him go. If you choose no to let him go, he’ll beg for his life and promise to turn things around before you’re given the same choice of letting him go again. It doesn’t matter how many times you press no, the game will continue to give you the choice over and over again until you finally agree to let him go.
There are also no easter eggs or funny dialogue to press no many times, Robbin’ ‘ooD’ll repeat the same line over and over until you finally cave. While it seems like there is a choice here, you won’t be seeing the last of Robbin’ ‘ooD, so it’s required that he escape in order to progress things forward later on in the game.
