Black Ops 6 Moonshot Medal, Explained
To earn a Moonshot medal in Black Ops 6, players must score a kill on an enemy that’s at least 250 meters away. Considering the size of some of the maps, this seems like an impossible medal to earn as most lines of sight are under the required distance. Thankfully, there are a few battlegrounds that are large enough for players to earn this particular medal.
The following maps are where it is possible to earn a Moonshot medal.
With numerous weapons capable of excelling in long-distance combat, it should be simple to use a sniper rifle to pick off a target from afar. For those who are struggling to secure the Moonshot medal using a gun, there’s another extremely effective tactic.
How To Get Moonshot Medal
Instead of attempting to snipe an opponent, there’s a much easier way players can earn the Moonshot medal. The Spring Mine Field Upgrade triggers when an enemy moves close to it, resulting in a guaranteed elimination.
To score the Moonshot medal, place a Spring Mine at one end of the map and run to the opposite end before an enemy triggers its lethal explosion. Those who manage to run at least 250 meters away from the Spring Mine will see the Moonshot medal appear at the top of their screens.
In addition to earning the medal, players who have reached Prestige 1 will earn the Squint Test Calling Card along with the ability to equip it. The requirements for the Moonshot medal are simple but tricky to execute in the heat of battle.
Earning medals in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a staple of its multiplayer offering. When there are rewards attached to earning them, it’s useful to know the most effective ways of earning them without having to use obscure weapon builds that can’t complete the task.
