With many of its twists and turns coming in hot toward the end, Slitterhead ramps up its combat with a series of boss encounters that replace the typical mission structure, making them quite a bit more intense and challenging than others by comparison. While they’re still not overly complex, it’s nice seeing some variety in a boss fight after all these hours.

Undying Scorn is a mission in which Alex confronts Lisa. This leads to her transforming into a wild Slitterhead, which allows her to perform all sorts of bizarre attacks that can be hard to defend against. This is an incredible fight with an even better arena, making it one of the best offerings in terms of the many boss encounters in the game!
Undying Scorn Walkthrough In Slitterhead
Since Undying Scorn is an Alex-focused mission in Slitterhead, he must be your primary Rarity, leaving only the Companion Rarity available to change. We cannot recommend Edo enough, which likely sounds like a broken record at this point if you followed our other guides, as we cannot get enough of his damage output and Skills.
Julee cannot be used for this mission, so we recommend bringing along Anita, Tri, or Doni if you don’t like how Edo plays. However, please note that his Burning Edge Skill will make this encounter substantially more manageable, as it surges the user’s damage output drastically, allowing them to obliterate Lisa’s health bar without breaking a sweat!
Lisa – Mimic Octopus Slitterhead: Phase One Guide
As soon as the encounter begins, use Alex’s Blood Well and Bloody Blast combo, then quickly switch over to your Companion Rarity. From here, start attacking Lisa with standard attacks until she tosses out one of her own. She will likely teleport across the arena and launch many Blood Orbs toward you. Move in between them to avoid taking damage.
From here, you can activate Burning Edge if you selected Edo to deliver tons of damage to her in seconds, likely staggering her, allowing you to follow up with a bombardment of attacks that cannot be interrupted. She will almost always get staggered after dropping her health past the first quarter on her health gauge.
When she recovers from being staggered, she will be surrounded by a green hue that will spread far around her. Coming into contact with this will place the Poison (Level Two) ailment on you, inflicting you with a potent poison that aggressively depletes your health over time.
She will also summon in several lesser Slitterheads that you should focus on eliminating first. Once they’re taken care of, use Alex’s Blood Well and Bloody Blast combo again and follow it up with Edo’s Burning Edge and Angel Step combo (or whatever your Companion’s equivalent is).
Watch out for her Blood Ray, which has her send a column of Blood out in a straight line in front of herself, which can deal considerable damage on contact. Simply repeat everything above until you drop her health slightly past halfway to begin the second half of the encounter!
Lisa – Mimic Octopus Slitterhead: Phase Two Guide
Following a brief cutscene, Lisa will open the second phase by beginning a Deady Fog Spell that will Curse all humans in the area, killing them instantly after a minute and twenty seconds pass. Fortunately, staggering her will cause this Curse to deactivate, making it your top priority.
Use Blood Well to lock her into place, then follow up with Burning Edge and unleash a barrage of attacks onto the body dangling from her back. Dealing enough damage to this spot will stagger her quickly and will carve large chunks of her health away. If you don’t get her the first time, be patient and do it again to have her become staggered for sure on the rebound attempt.
You can also rapidly switch to whoever is behind her and get free hits on her back, which will work well when you’re waiting for Blood Well to regenerate. After staggering her, use another Blood Well and Bloody Blast combo, then finish her off with your Companion Rarity to make quick work of her second phase. Simple. Right?
The biggest threat in this phase is the Curse Timer, so she doesn’t gain any new moves but becomes slightly more aggressive. So follow the same strategy from earlier to evade her attacks, then focus on her back when able to destroy her in a flash!
Undying Scorn Rewards
Defeating Lisa – Mimic Octopus Slitterhead for the first time in the Undying Scorn mission will give you 24 Skill Tokens to spend on any upgrade you feel deserves it. Again, these are shared, so spending them on one Rarity will make them unavailable for the others.
New ‘Talk’ encounters will also become available when defeating her, so focus on exhausting all of them to get more missions to come online to get closer to the finish line of Slitterhead!
