In the past, the world of Luma Island was filled with creatures named Luma, and they used their magical powers to help out those who lived on the island. In current times, they seem to have completely disappeared, and no one’s sure what happened to them or where they went.

To make things more mysterious, there are plenty of ruins left by those ancient peoples, but they don’t seem to hint at where the Luma went either – or do they? There might just be a way to bring them back to the island and even get their help, but you’ll have to delve deep into those ruins to find out.
Luma Island is currently in Early Access on Steam, so information may be subject to change in the future and will be updated as necessary.
How To Get A Luma Egg
Before you can get yourself your first Luma, you’ll need to go through the Ancient Farm Temple which is located at the upper center of your farm, to the right of the entrance into town.
Make sure you complete the tutorial missions enough to earn the Copper Whip before going inside, as it’s required for a handful of rooms.
It has twelve rooms you need to progress through in one go, and each one requires you to either pass through, evade traps, or kill the enemies in the room to open the door to the next one.
- When hit by minor enemies such as Bats, they’ll make you drop a few of your items, but you can pick them back up as soon as they’re dropped.
- When hit by traps like the fire-breathing statues, they’ll make you drop a few of your items and return to the entrance of the room, but you can still get your items back and continue.
Each room gives you a ladder for a quick escape, but choosing to leave in the middle of the challenge will make you lose your obtained items in that run, and you’ll have to repeat the dungeon from the beginning.
Make sure you break all the barrels and vases in each room, as they contain loot like Tool Tokens, Resin, Lost Spirits, and Sand.
