Eevee’s one diamond card can technically be found in Charizard and Pikachu packs as well, but each card features different artwork depending on where it was pulled from.

Differences In Ex Cards

Many of the ex cards across all three packs have at least a couple of variants. While some are more rare thanks to their artwork, there is nothing fundamentally different about them.

And while, of course, most people will want to collect the rarest or best-looking art, having the Venusaur ex which is four diamonds in terms of rarity plays the same as the two-star version.

However, there are still some cards that stand out from the rest in terms of the ex versions. The three-star version of Mewtwo’s ex card, upon opening it in a pack or wonder picking it, will prompt a special cinematic to trigger. It’s the only way to access this cutscene in-game.

Why Pick Genetic Apex Mewtwo Packs?

Just like with each of the booster packs you can pick from, some of the most powerful cards in the game call the Mewtwo packs their home. Between decks that focus on Mewtwo and Sabrina, or on one of the Articuno ex variants, it’s a good place to start, especially if you like these Pokemon and what they are capable of doing.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that choosing from each of the three booster packs will help you secure a number of cards that synergize well together, even if they don’t all come from the same place.

And, if you are having trouble pulling some of the cards you want or need to complete your deck idea, you can purchase cards individually. You just may be saving up pack points for a while.
