The need for advanced materials just keeps on going in Enshrouded, and if you’re looking for a new set of armor to survive in the Souls of the Frozen Frontier update, you might need to get some Violet Fabric. This material isn’t terribly hard to get, but the game doesn’t exactly tell players where or what its sources actually are.




Much like Wood Acid in Enshrouded, Violet Fabric is a crafted material that’s made of raw resources. Making some is a breeze, but getting to the point where you can craft Violet Fabric is going to take time and effort. Here’s what you need to do to unlock the Violet Fabric crafting recipe.

How to Make Violet Fabric in Enshrouded

Violet Fabric is one of the many crafted resources in Enshrouded, and it’s used in plenty of mid-late game crafting recipes. You can craft Violet Fabric at the Hunter, but to unlock its recipe, you’ll have to go through a number of steps related to the Alchemist first.


You need to unlock the Laboratory first by completing the Scientific Instruments for a Laboratory quest for the Alchemist. However, before that quest becomes available, you need to first finish the Almanac of Plants and Seeds quest for the Farmer. Once you get a Laboratory in your base, you’ll then need to craft some Mauveine using Tar, Alchemical base, Sulfur, and Nitrate.

Getting Mauveine will automatically unlock the Violet Fabric crafting recipe for the Hunter, but to craft some, you first need to finish the
Alchemic Wisdom quest

Talk to the Hunter, check her Crafting menu, and you should be able to see Violet Fabric under the Resources tab. To make one, all you need is Fabric and Mauveine. We recommend stocking up on Tar in Enshrouded since it’s used fairly commonly for a lot of recipes by this stage of the game.

In summary, the quests you need to finish are:


  1. Almanac of Plants and Seeds for the Farmer
  2. Scientific Instruments for a Laboratory for the Alchemist
  3. Alchemic Wisdom for the Alchemist

You also need to finish the Loom for the Hunter quest in order to craft Fabric.

What is Violet Fabric For?

Players need Violet Fabric to craft high-tier equipment. This includes high-level armor for mages, including pieces for the Thaumaturge and Hailcaster sets. Both of these sets feature high Frost resistance, allowing players to explore the frigid northern mountains for longer. Other than that, they’re excellent armor sets that can drastically improve the effectiveness of Enshrouded Mage builds for high-level areas.


The overall demand for Violet Fabric is relatively low, and unless you’re playing in a group and you want to equip multiple people with gear made from this material, you should have no trouble crafting enough just for yourself.
