Developer Edelweiss and Publisher Marvelous have confirmed the development of a mobile game based on the beloved Tensui no Sakuna Hime IP. The game, slated for release on Android and iOS, expands the franchise’s unique blend of action, Japanese mythology, and farming simulation.
Tensui no Sakuna Hime celebrates its fourth anniversary
In addition to the mobile game, Edelweiss revealed two other projects on the bank of the Tensui no Sakuna Hime franchise celebrating its fourth anniversary. A sequel to the anime series, which garnered widespread acclaim during its July 2024 run, is officially in the works.
Meanwhile, Marvelous also announced a new console game titled Sakuna Hime Garden: Heart Ring and the Gears of the World. The title features Kokorowa, the god of wheels and inventions, as the protagonist, continuing the franchise’s tradition of combining rich storytelling with deep cultural themes.
The IP was born with the launch of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, an action role-playing simulation by Edelweiss and Marvelous back in 2020. It gave birth to a manga and anime series as well. With over 1.5 million copies sold, the Tensui no Sakuna Hime series continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Speaking about the mobile game release, there is no timeline given. While detailed gameplay mechanics remain under wraps, fans can look forward to updates and pre-registration opportunities in the near future.
